Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

THOR: THE DARK WORLD is being directed by Alan Taylor ("Game of Thrones") and will be released November 8, 2013. Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, Rene Russo, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Zachary Levi, Jaimie Alexander, Ray Stevenson, Kat Dennings, Christopher Eccleston, and Idris Elba.

I honestly just can't see this being bad. The action looks too good, the dialogue seems perfect, and the directing is spot-on.

No disrespect, but snazzy if you really feel that way then you're either incredibly naive or you haven't been around very long. I know I could never hope to count the amount of times I ended up disappointed in a movie after being hooked by slick production values and dazzling trailers.

I'd always advise that for even your most beloved characters and franchises, to approach them with cautious optimism at the very least. Everything can fail when it comes to art and fiction. Although Hollywood may act otherwise, film making is not like an assembly line.

Trust me. The same folks that complained about too much destruction in MOS won't complain if that's the case in this one. Can't wait to see it!

don't know why but I cant get too excited for this movie, the trailer looks ecent but I still think they are lacking something. could more and better action or more of the villain idk.

if Thor 2 didn't have the Avengers as a prequel this movie would have probably made about 400-600 million or around the same 448 million of the first Thor but because of The Avengers I think we could see the worldwide box office somewhere btw 600-800 million.

It will probably be second or third highest grossing comic book movie of the year fighting against Man of Steel. Iron Man 3 will probably stay not only as the highest cbm but also the highest grossing movie of the year, however I see the Hobbit as a serious contender.
Wolverine is making decent money and should be the lowest and fourth cbm of 2013. its making less money in the usa THAN XMen Origins Wolverine but will earn more worldwide than the origin movie.
