It opens in theaters November 8, 2013.

I doubt Thor 2 will cross a billion, it could double the first and make 800 million though. I think it will make 600-800 million.

the only movie that will probably make a billion this year is The Hobbit 2.

the Hunger Games sequel could come close but I think Iron Man 3 and The Hobbit 2 will be the only billionaries of 2013.

@Dinotron, he sure was. There are really vetting this show right.

I really wanna know where this Coulson comes from. I feel like he's an android of some kind. Fury said "...downgrade you to a winnebago" during his "authority" rant. Seems like a strange thing to demote a human to.

MOS didn't do as well as they suits at WB had anticipated but nonetheless it was a financial success there's no denying that. Why are we even talking about MOS on a Thor thread??

@MrYurMomm

It's cool man :') As long as it doesn't spark flame wars it's all good :D Good estimates by the way, I predict Thor to do MOS numbers if not more around %00-750 Million world wide.

Nice Thor trailer and Nick Fury cameo in Agents of SHIELD. Look forward to more of both.

@BlackJack10

Anybody who expected Mos, let alone an origin film, to gross a billion is crazy.

And there were plenty of crazies. Until a few months ago when Man of Steel was released, they were some people claiming it was going to out gross Iron Man 3. I even read one poster say that it was going to make as much as two billion dollars. That said, if anybody told me that a Thor movie might gross as much if not more than a Superman movie ten years ago, I likely would have laughed in their face. But it's already happened.
