For Odin! FOR ASGARD!!!

For Odin! FOR ASGARD!!!

Of all the actors who were in the running, this one alone is worthy of doing justice to the god of thunder!

I've been behind this since the first time I heard it and then I saw a clip of him in the Star Trek Movie and was completely sold.

gg gg... dont get mad Shaman... I cant help it... but... I thought he kinda looked like She-Ra there for a moment.... I did a double take.. gg gg.. peace.. =:) He IS a great actor though I do admit.

I know you said no... he's too old.. but to me he will forever be Thor in my mind- Vladimir Kulich... till someone else comes along... sigh.. with his looks but 1/2 the age...

so he wont do a comic book movie but he will do a star trek and lord of the rings movie, that is the stupidest logic i've ever heard. It's a shame because he would be awesome. Keep up the good work Shaman, excellent pics as usual.

Yeah Myth, i know what you mean. When it feels perfect, it just is.

WeaponXX- Fine, but if i get there and it's an abandonned warehouse with nothing but an unfolded table in the middle, with only "Kool-Aid" and styrofoam cups on it and we're the only two people there... then... no hug LOLOL :P

KeepItReal- BOUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I can't get mad, i thought it looked the same too LOLOL :P His helmet does look alot like her tiara :P

TheProgram- Are you serious??? And what does he think "Pathfinder" was before making the movie??? He should try inhailing more oxygen or somethin.

theFACE- Yeah dude, he sounds like Paris Hilton all of a sudden. Oh and you haven't seen the last of me LOLOL :P Always keep a look out :)

Thanks to all for the kind words :))

Y'know Shaman, most of the time I think you have some great ideas, even if I don't 100 percent agree with all of them, but I just can't see it. I think he's a really good actor, but I just can't see him pulling off the sheer badass presence of the god of freakin thunder. Without some serious movie magic help, I don't see myself saying, OMFG don't f'ing MESS with that guy. That being said, they could do worse by a long shot.

TheProgram: So he's willing to do a crappy videogame movie(Doom), but not a comic book movie... LOL

mwmcintyre- You do raise a very good point. However, i really don't know who would either. From every single actor that were mentionned, wether they were in the running or not, NONE of them captured the true essence of the god of thunder (wrestlers included).

bossman550- No problem buddy, hope you like it :)) RealFirstAvenger also wanted me to do a Thor pic but i don't know where he is LOL :P

Personally, I don't like this pick. Not saying he wouldn't do a good job. But, I can't see it. I think an unknown is needed to really bring the character to life. I've seen ol' Karl in way too many movies to be able to think of him as the "God o' freakin' Thunder" No what I'm saying?
@keep it real. Vladimir Kulich is too old, and IMO way too ugly. He's a God. Should be "gorgeous" and "beastie" at the same time. Hard to do...

...since there seems to be a lot of debate on this article. I decided to throw my two cents in. The below, is an actor from the U.K. Which in my opinion, means he could get down the Odin talk fairly well. He's a stage actor, as well as having some small roles in television, commercials, and modeling. He looks the part, and seems to be in fairly good condition. Might have to tone it up a little. But nothing major. Anyways, based on his experience, and the fact that most people probably don't know who he is. I feel, he could make a very good Thor, and Dr. if they go that route. Anyways, here's some pictures, decide for yourselves.

KARL URBAN FOR THOR!!

Or Gerald Butler, or Nicholas Coster Waldu....
Shaman
Shaman - 4/27/2009, 6:07 AM
Well Jos, aside from looking like a cross between Rupert Everett and Jason Segel (like TheProgram said), if he beefed up, he'd be better than Hunnman. Hunnman sucks, i don't wanna see The Thor Teen years!!! And i do get what you're sayin about Urban and already having a mental image of him that might not fit Thor's profile from his previous movies. But i feel that if you mix his "Chronicles of Riddick" character with the one from LOTR and Pathfinder, he makes a pretty good Thor. I guess it all depends which movie you have in mind when you think of him.

Luke Goss is one of my favorite actors ever. But Urban has the build. A CGI'd Goss would work as well as Pitt/Achiles but i dunno... Urban just feels right for it.

i dunno, this guy just doesnt work for me...

Shaman - 5/4/2009, 6:56 AM
Honestly, NO ONE looks right for this role. I'm just saying Urban is as close as it would ever be. I just want Branagh to stupify me with astoundment from his stellar choice... so far, no cigar.

I think tayler mane will make a great Thor
Shaman
Shaman - 5/6/2009, 9:54 AM
I think he won't since he's not concidered for the role and has no acting talent what so ever. The only time he can be used successfully is when he has no lines and a mask on.
