Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, "Thor," which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

With an all star cast which includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Thor is out now in the UK and will be released shortly after in the US on May 6, later this year!

That was a weirdly paced trailer. I'm not sure the music fit it at all. Oh well. I am seeing the movie Saturday... Can't wait!!

Yeah, I have to say, whoever is cutting the commercials for this film seems to be doing a very weird job.

Someone who has seen the movie, please tell me there's not too much of Kat Dennings and her "comedy"? Because if there is I won't even bother seeing it.

Kat Dennings is great in this but she barely occupies 5% of screen time! There isn't an overkill of her doing funny stuff all the way through the film as a large portion of the film is set in Asguard and a lot of the Earth scenes are not played purely for silly laughs although they are many humorous moments.

The film is awesome, my only critic is that the end action does not surpass the earlier scenes with Thor and the Warriors three vs the Frost Giants which is the most awesome fight so far out of all the Marvel movies by a loooong mile! It's a highly entertaining movie, Chris Hemsworth particularly is outstanding, he's the oppositte of Sam Worthington. The guy just steals every moment he's on the screen with his charisma. Can't see how this movie can fail to win audiences over and be as big a success if not more than the first Iron Man.

The comedy and Kat Dennings is not Jar Jar Binks/Phantom Menace level so don't be mislead by how much of it you see in the trailers. It's more Iron Man 1 level and genuinely funny when it delivers too.

I thought the line before was, "I come from a place where magic and science are one and the same."
In this one he said, "I come from a place where magic and science are the same thing." Wonder why they changed it..?

I watched Thor last night and it was awesome, although the fight scenes with Thor on earth when he has his power could have been better CGI!!!!! Didn't last long enough!! He certainly can kick any other avengers ass anyway. Hulk would be a good fight!

@TheAntagonist - they clearly edited the phrase so it could be self contained and shorter. "your ancestors called it magic. You call it science. I come from a place where they're one and the same" would take half of the spot.

It's not really an "all star cast" when nobody knows Chris Hemsworth or Tom Hiddleston except as Thor and Loki.
