@luffy: I don't know if Hemsworth will want to carry around a battery pack for that! LOL.

@Hawks: I like the 80's wristbands! : ) I'm kind of torn between that and the chain/scalemail version. I prefer more bull-like horns for Loki than the tusk ones in the picture.

luffycapri @ its definetly not going to be a replica of the Ultimates suit since this guy has already comented on the cape ... and from what was said in his last tweet im guessing the cape will have fur lining at least.
Ryden

@Hawksblueyes Perfect Thor costumes! Note how this costume is a lot better than armours with mail sleeves.Th illustration is pretty cool but can be improved with dark clouds and thunderbolts and lightning stuffs.

@LEE77 you have really cute avatar but I agree with everyone the "Tick" avatar fits you more.

@Hawks & SirPrize: But he could blind enemies before beating them up. :) I'd be up for a more armored version of Loki. Anything but bright green tights. I know that's the classic look, but it has the biggest potential for goofiness. Maybe something like this:

Loki Pictures, Images and Photos

If your hero's badass, you want your villain to look like one as well.

Fingers crossed that we get this costume!!! :) Personally, I think that it would look amazing on the big screen!

@Anil: You're completely right. Aragorn's warrior king costume is very Thor-like. I like how on the Djurdjevic & Coipel stuff that the circles on his costume seem to serve a purpose rather than just being arbitrary circles. I'm not worried much about Thor, but am more apprehensive with how Loki will turn out. I'm just not that big of a fan of bright green body suits.
luffycapri
luffycapri - 1/3/2010, 1:59 PM
ok but I don't think he should have a cape in this movie.
Thats why I like the ultimate suit so much.
Ryden
Ryden - 1/3/2010, 5:50 PM
@luffy- Why though? Thor is a god, he needs a bad-ass Cape. The Ultimate Thor is just like taking everything cool about Thor and taking a big dump on it...he sux :P
luffycapri
luffycapri - 1/3/2010, 5:56 PM
because he looks a little like superman with the cape
Upupandaway
Upupandaway - 1/3/2010, 6:44 PM
@luffy: Sorry, but from what I can tell, he'll be the only hero with a cape in the Avengers. I think it will distinguish him and make him more regal. He's Asgardian royalty and people need to know that. Also, capes look great while flying. He's got a lot of similarities to Supes and that's not such a bad thing.
luffycapri
luffycapri - 1/3/2010, 8:39 PM
these days a super hero in a cape is a little gay but i know what you mean.

IRONRED
IRONRED - 1/4/2010, 6:16 AM
I think for THOR movie they should go for a more classic version of the suit, something as Hawksblueyes or joshw24 shows in their pictures ... something as Lord of the Rings kind of look ... and for Avengers movie producers may make a little changes on the costume, and bring it more like an Ultimate look. In my opinion that could be a very good idea.
Upupandaway
Upupandaway - 1/4/2010, 8:59 AM
I'm thinking no mail while just walking around and mail for the big battle scenes. The Ultimate look is more syfy than Norse god. Plus, Iron Man already has the glowing chest thing going on. We don't want to cramp his style. : ) The dynamic is important between those two and I think that a more contrasting look will work toward that science v. mysticism, new v. old thing.
MatchesMalone
MatchesMalone - 1/4/2010, 9:22 AM
Upup-I agree with the different variations for different scenes. The reason the chainmail armor version works so well is because it contains all of the important elements from the classic costume, so switching it up between these two would be cool. Also, Thor should look a little grittier than Iron Man to further constrast against IM's shiny armor and the whole science/mysticism thing.
Upupandaway
Upupandaway - 1/4/2010, 9:42 AM
@Malone: Yeah, the mail would be an indicator that something awesome is about to happen. Whatever they do, I've got a great feeling about this film! Branagh's Shakespeare stuff is quality (Hamlet's my favorite) and I think he's the greatest director to handle Thor.
OdinsBeard
OdinsBeard - 1/4/2010, 11:06 AM
Everyone stoked for this movie should read Thor: Ages of thunder by matt fraction if they haven't already. he uses thor's costumes perfectly. just like upupandaway said. different clothes for different purposes in different scenes. but all are thor costumes at their core.

but where thors costume couldn't have been much better loki's left me wanting. he didn't sport the big horns like usual. and i fear that's what we'll get in this movie.

luffy@ he won't wear a cape when he fights im sure

hawks@ what's that pic from? an issue or just a piece of artwork?
Upupandaway
Upupandaway - 1/4/2010, 11:49 AM
@SuperAlex: The pic is from the "Loki" TPB cover. Like I said before, I'm more of a shorter bull-horns person myself for Loki. I know he's Asgardian but the large horns have to lead to neck problems. Just think of how hard it would be to look up! : ) Neither will be a big problem for me though. In his Shakespearean work, he hasn't been known to go the modernization route. That may bode well for the traditionalists out there.
