Awesome now the only question I have is: Which costume will htey use for Thor? Original, Ultimate, Reborn, or a totally new suit they created just for the movie(I hope not)?

Noooice. Thor is really bringing the news..hear that GL and Cap!

I kinda hope it is a new costume for the movie. Like a mix between classic and Ultimate..or completely classic in Asgard, but when he suits up on earth more Ultimate looking.

Ror@ i bet that is how it is going to be with his outfit, and when avengers come along all of them in ultimate costumes. Because they try to appeal to all groups of people not just the comic book people who would like to see the classic look. But either way is good for me as long as the movie is good.

I got a funny feeling what with the non-classic costume stuff with Hawkeye that somehow it might end up being a variation of "Classic Thor" in the movie, an then when things come around to 'Avengers' he might end up wearing somthin akin to the Ultimate :-S
(the same could happen to Cap in his own film)

Personally i hope he just sticks with the classic kinda look..But we'll just have to wait an see :-)

I hope they use the new mailed costume, or something similar. Thor is a god, he is by no means concerned with "fitting in" with the mortals. And he shouldnt be.

Well, we know (according to a previous post a while back on here:-P) That Loki's costume DOES have the horns etc, so I really dont think that they'll deviate too much from Thor's :-D

The only thing that makes me a lil nervous now is Avengers strangely.. :-S (After readin the Hawkeye article)
lets hope they dont stick Loki in a business suit or somthin crazy since he's "THE/OR ONE OF'" the major villains in it.

Too many "plain n matrix'y" lookin costumes bein used these days. I really hope Marvel's own movies put an end to that an give us "Super" (costumed etc)heroes and villians = sticking say' Bullseye/BlackHeart/Wolverine and others from the previous in black or standard civilian attire "frankly" = is s#'t.

Please, no more costume talk! It's tearing this family apart!!! : ) I have faith in this movie. Also, I think we'll get more of a classic costume. Classic is the way Branagh rolls. Check out Hamlet. He did the whole 5 hour thing.

not surprising, considering the burgeoning cast, but anything from The First Avenger: Captain America camp? Nope. But I'm super-psyched anyways!

I have TOTAL faith in this movie :-D

maybe we're just tryin to make ourselves expect less' so that when we get taken a'back by suprise an get BETTER than we expected'..... :-> well, its all the sweeter.

Elle1980: Im a big fan of 'The Ultimates' (check out my Ultimates fan cast in "Fan Fic"!) but for me, the costume in the article above is the exact one I'd like to see in the movie! Its just perfect! :)

This is great news and a brilliant find MarvelFreshman! I would sell my grandmother for some Captain America news though! (joke...maybe - depends whether it was casting news or not!) ;D

:-) will do, I'll check it out.

Hmm.. what about "Casting news, plot synopsis, and character costume concept art"?? :-D = bye, bye grandma.hehe.

Re: Cap - That film could and WILL BE (I hope, hope, hope) Awesome :-)

Give us Red Skull + Baron Zemo , then come 'Avengers' give us either an old Zemo an R.S or R.S an a vengefull Zemo Jr :-D throw that in with Loki, Hulk n whatever else is planned and = COOOOOOOOOLLLL.

But,

If there goin with Hawkeye bein in The Avengers, is there not some chance that they might end up doin the story with the shape-shiftin aliens like in the animated??.. hopin not.
TheDemonHunter
TheDemonHunter - 12/5/2009, 8:31 AM
@Elle -- I have high hopes for this film as well, but I agree wholeheartedly with your costume comments. As for your hopes about Avengers not being about the shapeshifting aliens, I'll second that as well, and I can only say that luckily Hawkeye's involvement doesn't limit them to that story :D
Elle1980s
Elle1980s - 12/5/2009, 8:49 AM

@DemonHunter :-)

It better be good.lol , out of all the superheroes that are out there (believe it or no) "Thor" was the only one that MY DAD actually use to read when he was a kid:-P, an i always thought he was too serious to have been into comics :-D

Hope so, I just got bugged by that article where the guy being considered for Hawkeye went on to say the original costume was "weird" and somthin about "glasses" :-<

Heck, i dont care if they update a costume a bit' but dont vear away from it entirely. (If its the face-mask an goggle combo from ultimates i can live with that) - but truly' = would Batman have been "Batman" if he ran round without a mask? or Spideman even??.:-P

Ps- my apologies to "Upupandaway" ... Said i would rant bout costumes no more didint i'? :-D.hehe
Upupandaway
Upupandaway - 12/5/2009, 1:26 PM
@Elle: Talking about shape shifting aliens, they haven't had the Skrull in a movie yet. There's usually a lot of heated argument about costumes around here. I don't think that Thor's costume is going to have any problem in translation because most of the movie's going to be in Asgard. Hawkeye is a little bit harder to work in. Note, in the Bale and Keaton Batman movies they explained why he had a costume. They just need to tie the costume into the plot if they're going to go with the original.

@Upupandaway

"Knew you'd forgive me'':-P.LoL.

Id rather see Skrull than the Chitauri :-) maybe one day they'll feature in an F.F film or another Marvel property..

Please though'...Please just say that 20th Century Fox will lose the rights to Fantastic Four n Daredevil :-S (I dont think they'll be letting go of x-men for quite a while, not till they've milked it for all its worth:-( )

Fantastic' and Daredevil woulda' coulda' shoulda been awesome, heck'' SILVER SURFER in a movie SHOULD have been awesome :-< ... instead they were pick an choose "bit based" so-so's.

How hard is it to stick to the important bits of the source material??
I mean = did anyone here watch chun-li an dragonball?!?!... hmmmm, now i wonder what film company made those?. :-P.
