Nice Ed. Branagh needs to be knighted someday IMO. I'm not even British, but I think this guy deserves it.

Great interview Ed! too bad you couldn't ask him if he has a role for himself in the movie!!!

That would have been a pretty big scoop! I don't think I've heard them mention any kind of involvement for KB in FRONT OF THE CAMERA!

still pumped tho, he's such an intelligent dude and knows his acting and how to understand characters motivations. this movie will OWN!

mjolnir wasn't forged in the heart of a star, it was forged by dwarfs.

however, twilight, surter's sword was technically forged in the heart of a star.

I want someone to ask branagh why thor hardly ever wears his helmet. that's like batman only wearing his cowl for a few scenes.

Once again, all, I appreciate the supportive comments. Believe me, I enjoy conducting the interviews as much as you're enjoying hearing them.

Ablee337, thanks!

Fuel, yes, I AM in contact with Fleischer. In fact, he's offered a very convincing argument for me to continue his comic adventures: the hundreds of phone calls from the public in the middle of the night pleading for his return will stop. Which is good, because I can tell it's him on the phone anyway - the man simply cannot disguise his voice.

Fleischer will be returning to CBM very soon.

Great Interview Ed! I also agree that this movie will be the epic CBM of the summer.

@ Spiderneil: The Dwarfs used the core of a Star to do so. It Caused a massive Explosion that Almost destroyed Asgard and that may have been the reason the Dinosaurs are extinct according to marvel history. It was such a large explosion it traveled to Midgard.

@Nunchux. First off, you are a troll because you put Fantastic Four and Iron Man 2 in the same sentence. Secondly, what do you mean "you guys?" Thirdly, mindless sheep? I'm sorry that your opinion differs from ours, but quiet honestly I don't give a [frick]. I KNOW this movie will be good because Kenneth Branagh is a great director just like I KNEW The Dark Knight would be good from the trailer.

Also, your pic makes you look like a tool.

@Chux

Fine, buddy. Have it your way. Branagh is a Shakespearean trained actor. Here's the link: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000110/. He's been in such great movies as Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, Othello, and Hamlet.

Secondly, he's been nominated for an Oscar four times. Btw, two were for best director and lead actor for Henry V. If that doesn't satisfy you, then [frick] it.

Thirdly, every time I listen to the man, he seems to have a vision for this movie. He is trying to establish real character dynamics for the movie (obviously with big action pieces). He genuinely cares about the relationships between Thor and Odin and Thor and Loki, etc.

Fourth, he chose Chris Hemsworth after seeing his role as George Kirk in Star Trek which was less than 10 minutes. Branagh has been acting and directing for decades. I think he has an eye for these things.

But, you're probably right. I'm just another fanboy with NOOOOOO reason to be excited for this film.

Also, I happen to adore Chris Nolan and the Dark Knight. I merely meant that when I saw the trailer for The Dark Knight, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that it would be good. I have the same feeling for this film.

I'm out.
PartyHard
PartyHard - 3/2/2011, 11:47 AM
@Nunchux How do you know Chris can barely act? This is his first major role in a movie. This will be the movie that decides that. Everything else is just assumptions. The Dark Knight is easily comparable to all these comic book movies, because it is in fact a comic book movie. Thor could easily be better, just in a different way.
Dumegg
Dumegg - 3/2/2011, 11:54 AM
Branagh has a great understanding of Thor. I think he
was the perfect choice for thor. he'll suprise alot of
people with this movie. nolans batman movies are great,
but the task of making a movie about a normal human garbed in body armor who kick alot of ass might be a
little easer than alien/gods who live in another realm
with trolls and giants and demons. the batman movies are
great movies but you might have to leave a little room
up there for Thor.

No meaning arguing about something no one knows. One could make a point about the possibility of knowing anything about the unknowable, agnostic view, to say it short; the film ain't out yet. ;)

Time will tell.

Personally I certainly hope this film will be great.

@Nunchux

Well the premise of a debate constitutes having different opinions about something, however, the impossibility of having an opinion about nothing, disqualify the debate.

Well, sure, you can say that you think this and that, based on a trailer. But the truth is that a trailer cannot justify reviewing a movie, which is what you actually do.

Lets wait for the reviews.

Thank you.
