Following its Digital debut later this week, Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 27, and yet another deleted scenes has now been shared online (via The AV Club).
Titled "Wasting Time," this is actually an extended version of Thor's meditation scene, with Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) attempting to convince the God of Thunder to intervene in the battle raging on Indigarr.
Mantis reads Thor's mind, but he waves her off and reaffirms that his superhero days are over. Quill tells his crewmate that the rest of the Guardians will handle things, but the Odinson is not best pleased at the prospect of the locals building a statue in Star-Lord's honor, and agrees to help.
Mantis and Quill join Thor on Stormbreaker (see if you can spot the continuity error), but the temperamental war-axe won't fly with three, and they walk back down the mountain.
Thor: Love and Thunder finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.
Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
Directed by Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit) and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, Thor: Love and Thunder is now playing in theaters.
