THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER First Clip Sees The Odinson And Korg Reminisce About Jodie Jane Foster

Thor: Love and Thunder has all the makings of this year's best movie, and while that may sound like hyperbole, remember that we're talking about the same filmmaker who saved the God of Thunder back in 2018 with Thor: Ragnarok. Before that, the Asgardian ran the risk of falling into obscurity, especially after so-so roles in the Avengers movies and even his own sequel.

Now, the first clip from Thor's latest movie has been released, and it shows the Odinson and Korg observing Jane Foster from afar. The Kronan points out that "Jodie" Foster is not only the hero's ex-girlfriend, but she's wielding his ex-hammer, Mjolnir, to boot!

Talking to Variety, Natalie Portman opened up on her MCU return and admitted she "didn't really know" if she'd ever reprise the role after 2013's Thor: The Dark World. "They don’t often make more than three films in a series," the actor says with a shrug. "I feel like it’s the phase of my career where I’m really trying to just impress my kids."

"My 5-year-old and my 10-year-old were so enthralled by this process, getting to visit the set and see me dressed up in a cape. It made it really cool," Portman continued. "You know, it’s very rare that my kids are like, 'Please go to work!' Usually, it’s quite the opposite."

The movie finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.

Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Taika Waititi, the movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Russell Crowe, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, and Sean Gunn among others.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released in theaters on July 8, 2022.

"remember that we're talking about the same filmmaker who saved the God of Thunder back with 2018's Thor: Ragnarok"

Debatable and it was 2017, 2018 was Thor featuring in Infinity War.

The clip was ok.

You guys are all so serious on here. What’s happened? I mean I know the Marvel vs DC thing has has been going on for years but now every article there’s comments criticizing every little thing. What happened to having fun with movies and not getting upset about Everything? :/

This movie looks like so much fun hehe

Hatred is addictive. The thing to do is go online, say something that you know a lot of people will not like and then wait for the adrenaline rush when someone goes off on you so you can then give and all caps angry response and call you dumb, stupid, uninformed or the worse insult i have seen here

"Have you even READ the comics!!!!"

I block asshats.

Yeah I guess that’s what it is. People just look for that rush. I just don’t answer if someone is being rude lol

But yeah hopefully someday this site goes back to funny comments🫥

@MisterDoctor217 - I have zero problems with dissent. Not a fan of people insulting each other tho, agreeing or not with their point of view.

I like to understand their reasoning and talking about it. And yes, people are raging more around here lately.

Honestly the only reason I go on these sites is to crack wise with people I don't know and likely never will. Of course there is subject matter to discuss and what if to explore but really we should be having fun instead of arguing over meaningless stuff.

Yes exactly, everyone has different perspectives and have just different experiences. It’s when the insults and fighting happens that’s wrong. These are movies, meant to be enjoyed or not, but when People get mad at something like a movie I don’t get it haha

@Goldboink -

Exactly! We’re here for fun and interesting discussion about movies, not to insult each other and get mad at a movie and each other for not having the same perspective lol

Most of us already have enough problems in our lives to come here and face some more when all we want to do is take our mind off things.

This is supposed to be after his people were slaughtered the previous night, and the only thing he cares about it talking about his ex girlfriend. It's incapable of balancing tone, we even have distressed people and a sombre tone in the background while he's spouting nonsense that does not matter rather than caring for his people. The handling of Thor has went down the drain.

@Goldboink - "Hatred is addictive" ... No [frick]ing kidding, man. And it pays too cause it's crazy the amount of people on youtube channels that just hate on the same thing constantly. Whatever happened to the days when you didn't like something you would just stop watching or engaging in it and just move on.
