Thanks to Total Film, we have a new look at Thor: Love and Thunder ahead of its release in theaters less than one month from now. The newsstand cover shows the two Thors standing tall, with the Odinson holding Stormbreaker and Jane Foster's Mighty Thor wielding a reformed Mjolnir.
That hammer was shattered in Thor: Ragnarok when Hela returned and made short work of her brother, and it's currently unclear what leads to its shattered remains being pieced back together. Whatever happens, Thor is going to need all the help he can get when he squares off with the villainous Gorr the God Butcher.
The second, subscriber-only cover is truly wallpaper worthy, though.
As you can see, it features a stunning shot of Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman's respective Thunder Gods, and would have made one heck of a teaser poster. Marvel Studios has been on fire with the marketing campaign for Thor: Love and Thunder from the start, and we're guessing Total Film will soon drop some exclusive new stills and story details.

The movie finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.
Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
Directed by Taika Waititi, the movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Russell Crowe, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, and Sean Gunn among others.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released in theaters on July 8, 2022.
