Thor: Love and Thunder ended up receiving something of a mixed response from fans, and while Christian Bale gave it his all as Gorr the God Butcher, we can't help but wonder if a lot of his performance ended up on the cutting room floor.
We know that scenes with The Grandmaster and Eitri were left out of the finished cut and, as a recent Honest Trailer pointed out, we only actually got to see the God Butcher kill one God. If much of his work was cut by Marvel Studios and director Taika Waititi, it's a real shame because the actor spent a lot of time being transformed into this villain.
While he may have looked a little different to his comic book counterpart, this Gorr was still terrifying, and the video and photos below offer a better idea of the work that went into creating the character's appearance.

It's amazing to see what Odd Studio came up with here, and regardless of how you feel about the movie, we think it's fair to say Thor: Love and Thunder delivered some phenomenal visuals. Given the way the movie ended, common sense says we won't see Gorr again, and it will be interesting to see what Bale says about his MCU experience down the line.
Fingers crossed he doesn't end up as disgruntled as Christopher Eccleston, eh?
