Thor: Love and Thunder is just days away from arriving in theaters, and those of you who are excited to see King Valkyrie again will definitely appreciate this fun new UK commercial starring Tessa Thompson.
Promoting insurance company Direct Line, it catches up with New Asgard's King on a visit to Great Britain. However, after leaping into action to tackle what she assumes is a robbery, Valkyrie decides to enjoy the English seaside. That leads to her trying out fish and chips, heading to a local fairground, and enjoying an afternoon at the beach.
It's a fun way to hype the Marvel Studios blockbuster, and while we're guessing it's not canon in the MCU, we wouldn't say no to a series of shorts on Disney+ showing Valkyrie touring the globe. She certainly seems to enjoy exploring Midgard culture, anyway, even if she doesn't have the best grasp on how it all works!
There's a lot of intrigue surrounding what role King Valkyrie will play in the Thor: Ragnarok sequel, especially as speculation continues to run rampant about who her Queen will be. That's something we haven't heard too much about, so fingers crossed it hasn't been left on the cutting room floor alongside some major cameos recently revealed by Christian Bale.

The movie finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.
Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
Directed by Taika Waititi, the movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Russell Crowe, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, and Sean Gunn among others.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released in theaters on July 8, 2022.
