Matt Damon made a brief appearance in Thor: Ragnarok, and it looks like he might be set to return for Love and Thunder.

Though no major U.S. outlet has confirmed the casting yet, News.com.au is reporting that Damon and his family recently arrived in Sydney, Australia to begin quarantining at a private facility before he makes his way to the set to film his scenes for Taika Waititi's sequel.

The site doesn't have any details on Damon's role, but he portrayed "Fake Loki" in the God of Mischief's hilariously self-indulgent play in Ragnarok, so there's a chance he's set to reprise that role for another humorous cameo. Of course, it's also possible he's set to play a completely different character with a more substantial part.

In addition to Chris Hemsworth, Thor: Love and Thunder will Natalie Portman return as new God of Thunder Jane Foster, while Tessa Thompson will also reprise her role as Valkyrie. It was recently revealed that Christian Bale will portray the villainous Gorr the God Butcher, and it's also been confirmed that director Taika Waititi will once again provide the voice of Korg.

Several of the Guardians of the Galaxy also look set to appear, and there are rumors that Beta Ray Bill might feature in some capacity.

If this is accurate, expect the trades to weigh in soon. We'll keep you updated.
