ComicBookMovie.com and Best Little Sites was the brainchild of Nate and a friend way back in 2002. Nate initially focused on the back-end programming and front-end design, but now manages the company and its associated sites as well, with a LOT of help from some very talented contributors.

Nate has loved comics from a very young age and continues to read them on a regular basis thanks to subscriptions to various titles (both Marvel and DC). He also loves movies, as his wife and children will attest. He's not overly critical of movies, so his reviews should be taken with a grain of salt as he's much more interested in being entertained and escaping the "real" world for a couple of hours than finding every conceivable plot-hole and character flaw in a film.

Outside of his guilty "nerdy" pleasures, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, CrossFit, playing guitar, coaching youth sports and MMA (he spent a couple of years in the cage as an NHB fighter, but is now MUCH too old).

i really hope marvel fans understand he was one of the main reasons AV was so great. he was the ledger of that flim, great flims are driven off the villians purpose.

don't know if ultron is pull things off like that off

@knock'

I actually think Loki was Megatron'd in Avengers he was less compelling for me. I think that movie just works well because of the character interactions between the team. You could take out Loki and put in Skull and it would still be hotness.

I'd say he was the "Ledger" of Thor

On a different note

"Thor' in the front seat
Loki' in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?

It's Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin' down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend"

@breakUbatman

wasn't as thrilled in thor compared to AV for the interactions with the entire team. felt his performance was brillant especially with the help of whedon's direction. skull couldn't have pulled off that kinda interaction with each member like loki did. when u look at it on each scale he made it personal with them , in which each member was invovled for their own reasons. I.E what ledger did from gordon, harvey, an bruce ...........
i trust in whedon, but not to confident in ultron creating the danger loki did............maybe if there's enough infighting it will create a great story for this flim

This movie could have been so much better.
It's a beautifully wrapped box with nothing inside it.

They should have let Taylor make his damn movie.

@genius - No offense, man, but I think you're misusing underrated lol. Hiddleston is quickly becoming a huge star and is widely praised in most things he does. Same thing with Karl Urban, which you mentioned in another article. Underrated is hardly a word to describe them. But alas, sorry for being a definition nazi. But I completely understand what you're getting at. These guys are great actors, but at the same time they are well respected by most and often highly praised.

Just saw Thor: TDW. CBM of the year definitely. Rivals the Avengers for greatest CBM ever. Better story than Avengers, not as good action. Even though the action was awesome. But come on. Its the Avengers. No topping that.

saw it tonight. Great movie! EXCEPT!!!!.......Darcy. I just don't see her purpose for being in this movie at all. middle of ending credits all but insures a big Thanos storyline. probably setting up for Avengers 3

I must say, I have so many unanswered questions about this movie. Frustration is a good thing and I loved the twist at the end with Loki. It was a great spoiler and left me chomping at the bit for more. My only issue in this movie was with the relationship between Jane and Thor. They give much of an explanation about Thor's time in New York and him not seeing her. I thought the explanation given was weak and not very believable. It seemed to me that Thor would've seen Jane if he came back to our world because of his promise to her, and the scene was really glossed over. Just my take. I can think of so many ways they could've bridged the gap and I don't think who ever wrote the screen play gave it much thought. Maybe they did, but it wasn't believable and quite frankly it was disappointing. I'm a romance writer and a strong protagonist such as Thor would've gone to see his woman. Just sayin. However, besides that weak link, the movie was very entertaining and I can't wait for the next installment. I love, love, love, Loki's character. What a juicy villain he's AWESOME. And so glad he wasn't killed off because I was disappointed when I thought he was dead. He's so unpredictable and I can't wait to see what the franchise does with him next.

Also, Jane and Thor's connection was kind of weak in this last movie. Wherein the first, there was definite chemistry.

Just my opinion of course.
