As we get closer to the theatrical release of Thor: Ragnarok, Marvel is really going to up the ante on the movie's promotion, and this latest TV spot hammers that home with a ton of new footage.

There's more from Loki, Hulk, and Valkyrie; and then right at the end we get an awesome new shot of The God of Thunder launching a cool spinning attack against Cate Blanchett's villainous Hela.

Early word on Thor: Ragnarok is mostly very positive (I'll be seeing it next week so keep an eye out for my review), but what do you guys make of everything you've seen up until now? Sound off in the usual place.

I do hope Hela is like Loki in where she will be back and not killed off.

@PantherKing - what you just said literally means nothing lol you could say "just enjoy the movie and dont worry about the [blank]" about any movie. The fact is the use of silly comedy could directly affect my enjoyment of the movie if used too much which is why I said that

@Ha1frican - Why are you worried about the comedy
Ha1frican
Ha1frican - 10/10/2017, 9:49 AM
@JohnMarston220 - because for one it doesnt look funny, two it looks like thats all that the film really has as far as character interactions go, and three its directly contrasting everything the character has been been developed as in the past 4 films hes appeared in. Im all for levity i love Avengers and Guardians but this just looks goofy to be goofy but im interested to see how this sets up Infnity War which is why im excited

@Ha1frican - Ohhh I see.
Have you seen any of Taika's films? "What we do in the shadows" and "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" are great and really funny so I'm not TOO worried about the comedy. As serious as the ragnarok storyline is supposed to be (Well I've heard,, never read it) I think Taika knows how to balance seriousness and comedy very well. If you've seen Hunt for the Wilderpeople, then you know what I'm saying lol

And yeah you're kinda right about the way he's been developed in the past previous films. It's odd to seem him be very eloquent and serious to then act like a goofball in this. Still very excited though 🤗

@JohnMarston220 - I havent seen his previous work no, ive been meaning to get around to it but ill probably wait until after Thor and if i like it then ill check out his other stuff. idk i dont want to seem too negative i am still quite excited and sure it will at least be good but those elements are iffy for me. this is definitely the Marvel movie ive had the least confidence in since Ant-Man

Looks amazing. I don't care that they may over do some of the humor.

Haven't watched anything aside from the first two trailers, those were more than enough. Maybe I'll succeed in not watching more than the teaser trailer for Black Panther and the first Infinity War teaser.

I don't like how "humanised" the MCU's galaxy is. A lot of that is to do with the small things that James Gunn has made so noticeable... things like that scene with Yondu and the prostitutes in Guardians 2 bothers me so much when it shouldn't. Valkyrie with what looks like Vodka on the other side of the universe. I just wish [Gunn] tried a bit harder, or wasn't the first to design the cosmic side of the MCU.

@Kurne - I agree with this. One thing I know I wouldn't like about this movie is the way Asgardians talk. I don't mind humour at all, but I wish they kept the Shakespearean dialogue. I loved it in the first film. They could have done it with the new tone of humour IMO
