Will THOR: RAGNAROK Finally Address The Fates Of Sif, The Warriors Three, And Jane Foster?

All of the characters listed above have been M.I.A. since Phase 2 and none are expected to appear in Thor: Ragnarok. Or are they? Hit the jump for more on how they will (and won't) factor into the film.

Jane Foster was mentioned in Avengers: Age of Ultron but it's been clear for a while now that Natalie Portman's role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is at an end. As a result, she won't be making an appearance in Thor: Ragnarok despite the fact that a good chunk of the action takes place on Earth. So, will Jane's fate be referenced in any way and what does that mean for the God of Thunder from here?

Chris Hemsworth was asked exactly that on the set of the movie and replied: "Umm, no we have this, we have some… some very respectable fun with how that relationship may have come to an end [laughs]." Well, it sounds like Jane will be something of a punchline in the threequel in that case.

Jane isn't the only one missing, though. Sif and the Warriors Three also aren't expected to appear. Or so we thought! After indicating that Loki did something to the God of Thunder's friends after taking the throne as Odin, executive producer Brad Winderbaum pointed to them showing up in some form in Thor: Ragnarok. "Um… That’s not necessarily the case," he said about them not appearing before adding the following in regards to us learning about what's happened to the heroes. "And yes."

Do you have any theories about the fates of these characters in the movie? Are you disappointed they don't have more significant roles? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

@HULK2099 -

We really should have had a Sif/Jane interaction in TDW but they blew just on a look.

Total waste of characters, especially Sif.
Sigh...i mean *Sif*...

I bet Valkyrie could quickly take her place in the MCU.

Still no love for Balder?

As for Jane, maybe they can make a brief mention of her settling down with Keith Kincaid and having a son?

That's fine. Thor and Jane's relationship was the MCU's worst and Natalie Portman never really gave a shit about the role anyway.

The Warriors Three haven't made much of an impression tbh. Sif is an okay character, but I'm not that bothered either way.

Natalie was kind of wasted on Jane. Just like Sam Rockwell was wasted on Hammer. although I liked the latter.

Maybe balder is on hamdells "lord of the rings journey" or he's in sakar fighting for his life with hercules and howard the duck? Also I knew thor was lying like a mofo when he was talking about her in age of ultron.Yea she one the "nobel prize" alright for being the worst girlfriend in the mcu.

They should have killed Jane in TDW like they implied in the trailer, i didnt have a problem with the relationship as it helped cement Thor's relationship with humanity but now that hes in with the Avengers thats not really necessary anymore hes invested in earth for more reasons than just the booty now lol I hope Sif at leats survives and we see them in a relationship assuming Thor doesnt get ganked by the end of Avengers 4 (which i think he will be)

Sif and the Warriors 3, have been wasted in the Thor movies. Sucks, because I love their characters, and the actors that play them.

This might be a dumb question:
Were Frigg and Freyja combined into a single goddess in the Marvel Universe? Or do both exist? I can't seem to remember.
