UPDATE: We thought Marvel had actually given us something new on the display, but turns out this is a shot from a deleted scene from the first movie! Ah well, plenty more to come I'm sure.

Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, and hits theaters November 8, 2013.

I hope this movie does as good as Iron man 3 so the MCU can move up to the second most profitable franchise of all time . Then next year watch out Harry Potter Marvel is coming for you .

If Tom Hiddleston can wear that crazy helmet and look great doing, why can't Hemsworth rock that helmet at least a little bit. Especially because it didn't look ridiculous in the first one, it worked.

I noticed the hair..just assumed he got a cut when he got out of that cell! Surely they wouldn't promote this movie with an old still?

I'm not sure if you know this but I think this may be a deleted scene from Thor 1.

Also answer McGee's question.

We said Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel would also be the movies of 2013. Look how that turned out.

Shit The Wolverine might be the movie of 2013 because no one has said it could be.

That's not a new shot. That helmet and armour up by his neck is the costume from the first movie. Plus, that EXACT photo is in the card set Upper Deck did for the first Thor movie. I have the card.
