This from CBR: 'Thor, vanquished to Earth on a journey of self-discovery where he encounters Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, first contact with the modern human race.'

Is this just me reaching, or does the word 'modern' hint that Thor's been to Earth before? I may be reaching here, but maybe this is a hint that Thor's been to a slightly older Earth, perhaps in wartime? The time of a certain super soldier?

Probably just me with ambitious thoughts, but wouldnt it be great if there's a Thor cameo in WW2?

WW2 would've been a modern human world.

@Shaman, I've put an extended theory of this idea as an article:

@Gmoney, I know WW2 is still fairly modern but it wasn't like it is now, is it? a lot has changed. You could be right tho, im just being a dreamer lol

I would think that, if they are saying Thor traveled to Midgard before it would've been during or just prior to the start of the Viking Age. Back when the worship of the Norse Gods took off, you know?

That would def not be a modern human society.

Their was a report that the pick up shots they did in October were of flashback Viking scenes...so maybe. I guess we will see.
