WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair Expresses An Interest In Playing The Female Version Of THOR

Wrestler and Arrow star Cody Rhodes recently put himself forward for the role of Black Bolt, but a former RAW Women's Champion has now expressed interest in playing the Jane Foster version of Thor.

Before Chris Hemsworth was cast as Thor, you may recall that wrestler Triple H was rumoured to be in line for the role of the God of Thunder. You only need to watch Blade: Trinity to be thankful that never came to pass, but there are plenty of former WWE Superstars who have proven themselves to be solid actors, with perhaps the two best known examples being Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John Cena.

Could Charlotte Flair be next? The daughter of the legendary Ric Flair, Charlotte expressed an interest in playing the female version of Thor during a Twitter Q&A today, and honestly, it would be a great fit should Marvel Studios ever decide to go down that route (a real possibility considering the fact that Hemsworth's contract is close to running out). Praised for her athleticism and promo skills, Charlotte has become a huge star and recently main evented a PPV inside a Hell in a Cell with Sasha Banks.

For those of you unfamiliar with the wrestler, here are some photos which prove that if nothing else, she most definitely looks the part! As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.

Jane Foster has been cast already.

@Luigi - I hope the explanation of Jane not appearing in Ragnarok is that Thanos kills her when he murders half of the life in the Universe.

@Luigi - Doesn't really mean anything these days. Female Thor doesn't have to be Jane Foster to be blunt. Yes that's cannon but Marvel has always been able to recast/switch things up to their needs.

@Luigi -
Precisely. If she wants to play a "female version of Thor," the closest she's going to get is Thor Girl.

@MrMartyMarvel - No. Marvel films don't follow the comics.....like at all. They do usually get the characters pretty close, but there are still examples of characters being changed.

Rhodey as Iron Patriot, combining Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo into one character.

They could easily make someone else Female Thor and i dont think too many people would be very upset over it.
