BUMBLEBEE Extended TV Spot Features More Exciting New Footage From The TRANSFORMERS Spinoff

We should be getting another full trailer for Bumblebee very soon, but in the meantime Paramount has released an extended TV spot which features quite a bit of new footage from the Transformers spinoff...

The last trailer for Bumblebee delighted old-school Transformers fans by revealing several glimpses of classic characters such as Optimus Prime, Soundwave and Shockwave sporting G1 designs, so Paramount has wisely used some of that same footage for this new extended TV spot.

There is some new stuff too, however, as we see Shatter and Dropkick threaten earth with destruction of 'Bee is not handed over, Blitzwing demanding to know the whereabouts of Optimus Prime, and Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) seemingly giving Bumblebee his name.

What do you guys think? Could this be the Transformers movie that finally does justice to the franchise? Check out the spot below and drop us a comment in the usual place.

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee the Autobot seeks refuge in a junkyard in a small California beach town. Charlie, on the brink of turning 18 years old and trying to find her place in the world, soon discovers the battle-scarred and broken Bumblebee. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns that this is no ordinary yellow Volkswagen.”

Bumblebee hits theaters on December 21, 2018.

Way off topic, but any wrestling fans catch Johnny Gargano's promo tonight? There was definitely some Joker in there!

I find it hilarious that the first time these movies look to get it at least somewhat right is when everyone has finally given up on them

Anyone think we might get another trailer for Aquaman or are they good with the extended trailer?

@Roodi - I'm betting we'll get one (and another one for Godzilla 2) next week with Fantastic Beasts.

@Roodi - Probably one more, but as of now all the TV spots are promoting the Extended Footage "trailer" on YouTube.

There’s more heart in these trailers than there’s been in the last 4 Transformers movies.

I never even wound up watching the last Transformers movie at all, and maybe even the one before that, but, is it me or do they change like all the mythology practically whenever they do a new movie?

@guyatadesk - well I mean not even necessary all Cybertron-related stuff, but especially anything to do with here on Earth. That something with their history of who and when first got here and did what.

I wonder why they give blitzwing, Star Scream's color scheme? Why not keep him tan and purple or just make it Star Scream. Movie still has my hyped because of the G1 models. Just seems like a weird creative choice to me.

These G1 designs are looking really good. Part of me thinks it's a trap.
