is it not possible that he uses the moon as a host and he was defeated decades, years, ages, whatever ago by the autbots? What is the significance of the forty years? Why would it matter that an autobot has been on the moon for forty years? How would that pose a threat and if its just another prime then whats the big deal with this trailer? Unicron has come in many forms over the years, he is not always a huge planet and its a movie with writers who have their own take and interpretation and they need to make it work for their story.

ok fine its possible but hear this, all the autobots have blue eyes in the films, like this guy, Decepticons have red eyes, and the wrecked figures lying around him look like the Autobot protoforms

I cant wait to find out who he actually is though, Alpha Trion or as some of you are theorising Unicron (which I hope you are right about, maybe the small form is the center of the large body and the rest of the wreckage of the spaceship is the rest of the body or maybe I am talking out of my arse lol)

There are different illustrations/animations of it with different colored eyes. Initial look at the trailer and you assume that it is not Unicron because of size and the misleading color of eyes? But if you think about it he is not an Autobot or Decepticon, who knows what his origin would be if this really is him. How old is he really and is he supposed to be "godlike." In the end of the trailer they seem to focus on the O in Transformers and several "circular" areas inside of the robot. To me this just further suggests that it is Unicron.
