Latest Trailer For Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Makes iTunes History!

Although the second trailer for Transformers: Dark Of The Moon was only released about a week and a half ago (April 28th), it has made history after scoring over six million views within the first 24 hours of its release, becoming the most viewed trailer in iTunes Movie Trailers' history. From Huliq.com:

The latest trailer for the third blockbuster installment in the Transformers movie franchise was a hot online commodity after being posted exclusively on iTunes Movie Trailers website. After racking up over 6 million views in a period of 24 hours, the movie trailer became the most-viewed trailer in the history of iTunes Movie Trailers.

"Transformers represents big summer fun at the movies and iTunes Movie Trailers was the ideal place to debut the latest installment to a global entertainment audience," says Amy Powell, Paramount Pictures' Executive Vice President Interactive Marketing & Film Production.

A 3D trailer is scheduled to premiere May 20th, attached to Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Transformers: Dark Of The Moon hits theaters July 1st, later this summer!

Well obviously the main problem is everyone is a bunch of apple fans. Apple sucks balls so who cares if they are number 1 on itunes. I hate itunes.

I hate iTunes but I love Transformers, people can diss it all they want. The reality is that it is a movie based on TOYS so I have little to expect from it other than robots hitting each other and a lot of entertainment, that it always delivers in spades!

This film will blow every other away this summer and fanboys will moan and diss till they're blue in the face. People enjoy Transformers, get over it!

There was a 3D trailer on the front of Thor. It was the teaser, not the latest trailer, but it was still 3D :P

With all the flaws in the second film, we're still lucky that Transformers is even being presented on the bigscreen in this fashion. It could have been way worse. But instead, we get top notch production and the best special FX team in the world to bring the unbringable to life. I hope the Avengers is on this scale of production. Transformers has the best CGI I've ever seen- granted, it's easier to do metal than organic surfaces. But still. It's seamless.

I will say the recent trailer has me somewhat convinced if only for the music at the end ("Prelude" by Pusher Music), even though there's shades of "Fistful of Silence" by Glitch Mob.

Still against the new girl. Pretty soon, she WILL wind up like Megan Fox, getting more plastic surgery and an equally nasty attitude (OT: how is Lea Michele working if she's acting like Fox?), and it'll be deja vu all over again. It's speculation at this point, but who knows? No disrespect to Jason Statham, since he and she aren't the typical douchebag couple.

NeoBaggins makes a great point: the scope of Transformers 3 is promising, and sci-fi du jour Joss Whedon would be wise to take inspiration if The Avengers aspires to be the ultimate superhero team-up film we've been hyped to see.
