The interstellar war between the Autobots and Decepticons shifts onto overdrive following the discovery of Sentinel Prime in this sequel from director Michael Bay. Only a precious handful of officials in the government and military realize that the 1969 moon mission was the result of an event that threatened profound repercussions for the entire human race. When the Apollo 11 astronauts discover the wrecked remains of Sentinel Prime on the surface of our natural satellite, they bring him back to planet Earth. But Sentinel Prime wasn't the only alien object on the moon, and when a malevolent new enemy makes its presence known, only the Autobots can save mankind from certain destruction.

Starring Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Alan Tudyk, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, and John Malkovich, Tranformers: Dark of the Moon is set to be released on July 1, later this year!

great trailer...but all of these ads are spoiling something about John Turturro's character so that is very annoying

Sigh, unfortunately I can only see it as being as bad as the first two.

I hope I'm proven wrong.

I might not live through this one, guys... lol THIS is what an summer blockbuster is supposed to look like! I don't care even if the dialog is lifted straight from "Scary Movie" and it stars a wayans brother, with action like that this movie will rock!

@CrimsonAvenger i agree about Harry Potter. Twilight should never have made it on to the big screen. but as far as Transformers goes, i meant that the two so far have blurred completely together for me and this looks to me to be another blur. just totally the same. maybe im just jaded...

*** - MY REVIEW!! - NO SPOILIERS ***

JUST SAW IT AT A PRESS SCREENING IN THE UK, bring Oxygen cylinders because you're gonna need to get your breath back! For all those who don't like any of these movies, please stay away, absolutely nothing for you in this film if you're still stuck in 1980's mode or still haven't acquired the basic skill of visual deduction most children the age of 7 and 8 can do without batting an eyelid, i.e if you can't tell the robots apart then stay away!

If you enjoyed the first film and disliked the 2nd like me then get your ass to the cinema and prepare yourself for the 3D mind blowing spectacle of the year. Don't think there won't be any silly humour or toilet jokes because its still there but unlike the 2nd movie where that stuff went spiralling outta control and took over the movie; this time its kept to a minimum and virtually devoid for the last hour of the movie which is where you'll need your oxygen the most.

Everything in this movie tops anything they've ever done before and then some, there are some serious casualties in this war and some of the young kids may end up crying their eyes out but in terms of delivering a climax to a series, this is by far one of the most satisfying in years! I only wish the Star Wars prequels managed to deliver in spades like this. And forget Megan Fox, Rosie plays a part Megan could never have delivered realistically and she does it bloody well for someone who's never made a movie before.

And finally a damn good story to go with the action, full of twists an turns and lots of surprises to keep the drama on top of the humour! Its hard to see how they can continue this series after this movie, the ending is almost absolute but whoever takes over the helm has a task on their hands because Michael Bay has set the bar at one hell of a high level for them to make that jump! Thank christ he's not like Lucas, he admits his mistakes and made up for it the right way and unlike Green Lantern, you can see where every single cent of this budget has gone on the screen! 9/10 and I'm definitely going again!

You're gonna LOVE Optimus Prime in this, he finally has his trailer and unlike in the cartoon, it doesn't just disappear into nothing when he transforms, it has a proper use! And boy does he kick some butt in this one!

no worries, but like i said before, it still has the crazy humour, very much a film of two halves. The first half has an even mix of humour an action but it doesn't go too over the top to the point ROTF did. There's no robots doing embarrassing things like peeing or showing their balls etc. And there is a lot of human death unlike the other films, you see the innocent getting wiped out not just building collapsing and explosions. The second half is very much a tour de force of action scenes that are either nail biting or breath taking, not much letting up once it starts going and the finale is very satisfying!

Have to say the opening with the NASA space missions is a bloody clever set up for this story and they presented it with some excellent cameo's to back it up. I won't spoil the surprise!

You know, this new chick is really annoying me. At least Megan Fox's character wasn't some help less wailing damsel in distress. Bring back Michaela!

UGH!

I don't think I like Optimus "saying" that he's going to kill them. I mean it's BAD ASS and I'm cool with Optimus destroying some Decepticons but Optimus has always been the type to try and stop the Decepticons and not kill them. Even if he does he doesn't talk about it really or say kill. I think that's the first time I've even Peter Cullen use the word that way. Optimus is the consumate good guy, he see's the Decepticons as fallen brethren. He'll kill when necessary but doesn't go looking for it. I don't know...maybe just me. I still think this looks sick and the music is gettin WAY better but just sounded funny when I heard it.

She aint helpless, she actually makes the most telling improvisation that turns the battle and her part isn't something Megan could have pulled off without playing it like a bimbo. Rosie has a mature presence and voice, not a whiny teenager blurb but proper English, well spoken with class. Her role and her job she does in this film is a far way from what they had Megan Fox perform within her limited range. And sure Megan had two movie to get involved and settled into her role and play her part in the action, but with her one movie, Rosie actually delivers even though essentially both these girls are used as camera eye candy!
