Unsurprisingly, Transformers: Age of Extinction, the fourth installment in the Transformers film series, was this year's highest grossing film with a total gross of $1,080,772,736 (as of 9/25). The film, which was directed & produced by Michael Bay, starred Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, and Kelsey Grammer in live action roles and had Peter Cullen return as the voice of Optimus Prime.
