As it did with the previous installment, Paramount pictures has moved the release date for
Transformers: Dark of the Moon up a few days, so the film will open on a Wednesday rather than a Friday. According to Deadline,
"Early response to footage, especially the 3D footage, has been great so we want to get the word out that this film is as good or better than the first and much better than the last,"
This will allow all of the haters out there to hate two days earlier and the believers to sit back and enjoy massive amounts of explosions and robots a few days earlier as well. The film will be released in both 2D and 3D formats, as well as in IMAX theaters.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk, John Turturro and Leonard Nimoy. This marks the third and final film in Michael Bay's
Transformers trilogy.
