Following that recent trailer launch, Prime Video has released the first official clip - as well as a new poster - from their upcoming spy thriller series Citadel, which stars Richard Madden (Eternals; Game of Thrones) and Priyanka Chopra (Don - The Chase Begins Again; Don 2) in the lead roles as a pair of memory-erased spies.
The first clip sees Mason Kane (Madden) reconnect with Nadia Sinh (Chopra) and do his best to convince her that she's a spy, and, let's just say, it doesn't go particularly well.
There's also a new banner poster, which is a little more covert compared to the Tenet-inspired first one...
Citadel hails from Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, who serve as executive producers and also directed a few episodes, with Hunters creator David Weil onboard as showrunner.
In addition to Madden and Chopra, the supporting cast consists of Stanley Tucci as Bernard Orlick, Lesley Manville as Dahlia Archer, Osy Ikhile as Carter Spence, Ashleigh Cummings as Abby Conroy, Roland Møller as Anders Silje and Davik Silje, and Caoilinn Springall as Hendrix Conroy.
Citadel starts streaming on April 28.
Check out the first official clip below:
Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency—tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people—was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows. With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives. They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts.
Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order. Mason seeks out his former partner, Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an effort to stop Manticore, all while contending with a relationship built on secrets, lies, and a dangerous-yet-undying love.
