AMC Dissing Dish for Dumping THE WALKING DEAD

AMC Dissing Dish for Dumping THE WALKING DEAD

Since DISH satellite tv dumped AMC, the cable channel is pushing hard to get people to switch to DirectTV or Cable. Thus, this redubbed promo to highlight the angst that will ensue if you miss episodes of THE WALKING DEAD.

The Walking Dead Season 3 premiere is Oct. 14 at 9pm on AMC. But DISH subscribers won't get to watch the most popular show on basic cable.

AMC is helping DISH subscribers find a new television provider so they can watch the upcoming season. More info at PutZombiesBack.com

Galactus Insert: As a Dish subscriber myself, this news almost made me dump my contract, but I'm also an Amazon Prime member and can watch it on there. I did that for this season's Breaking Bad as well. Just another option if you are not able to switch TV providers at the moment.

Ha1frican, not everyone likes watching an awesome TV show on a 15" screen when I can watch it on a 42" LED with surround sound.

I'll stick to my cable thanks.

@ Ha1frican, oh yeah? My dad can beat up your dad.

I'm just making a point jack ass. I'm happy with the 1080p quality of a TV than pixelated streamed videos. My ol' lap top doesn't have an HDMI port, though I do have an adapter I rather not have to drag my laptop into the living room to watch a show.

@Stumblin I was just doing the same, and if you look for more than 2 minutes you can find reliable HD sources for pretty much everything. Paying for TV < having to "drag" a 3 pound laptop into the living room

Stumblin - 9/26/2012, 10:36 AM
Still streaming regardless of it being HD which means you'll lose quality.

Oh, OK, so what do I do when someone is on the computer and I want to watch TV?

Exactly.

I like having the separation, I'm not limited to anything.

Though when it comes to AMC quality display doesn't matter because AMC's feed blows donkey nuts.

Personally, I found the show to be a bit more involved than the comics, though I only finished volume one, I like the pacing better in the show.

@Cap nah, ill get around to it probably after it goes off the air and i can watch them in bulk. After what i heard was a show about zombies turned out to just be people standing around talking i stopped caring. Im a rushing 28 Days Later kind of zombie guy

I switched from cable TV to internet to save around $50 a month. I use netflix for filler TV, antennae for broadcast, and iTunes for cable shows. There is almost zero benefit to cable or satellite, they are going to keep losing subscribers until they ditch their bundled-channels-only style and let people just pay for the channels they want.

Prepaying for the upcoming 16 episode season of Walking Dead will cost $43 on iTunes.

28 Days Later was awesome.

28 Weeks Later was a bit of a let down.

Snyder's Dawn of the Dead is the tits.
