Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Villainous Negan Takes Center Stage On EW's THE WALKING DEAD Cover

Following the release of that awesome Comic-Con trailer for The Walking Dead season seven, Entertainment Weekly has put the hit AMC series on their cover, and it focuses on Negan and Lucille...

The Walking Dead is usually pretty spot on when it comes to casting, but Jeffrey Dean Morgan taking on the role of Negan is probably the show's best decision yet. We actually got our first look at the villain in the season six finale and then in that recently released trailer for season seven, but Negan and Lucille have now taken centre stage on the cover of this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly

"What you’re going to see in the first half of this season is Negan wreaking havoc," Morgan explained in an interview with the site. "And some of your characters that you’ve grown to love are not going to be on the show anymore, and it’s going to end badly for them. It’s going to be a whole new beginning for The Walking Dead. Really, we’ve taken the show and just flipped it upside down. It’s a different show now. It’s going to have a different feeling. You’re going to see your favorite characters in a position that they’ve never been in before, which is super vulnerable and victimized."

In the video below, Morgan also talks about how much swearing we'll hear from Negan in season seven of The Walking Dead, so check that out and then let us know your thoughts in the usual place.

@slickrickdesigns - Hopefully we'll get a Flashpoint storyline. I really think that's why he was picked for Thomas Wayne. I mean any ol body could've portrayed Thomas Wayne in BVsS, he didn't have any lines.
