If you're a member of the cast, yes you're excited that you're on a very popular television series, but don't expect to keep cashing those paychecks. Over the first couple of seasons of
The Walking Dead viewers quickly realized that no matter who you are, man, woman or child, you can't avoid the Grim Reaper. Recurring role or a major character, it just doesn't matter. With the more notable death being: Dale Horvath (Jeffrey DeMunn), Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal), Amy (Emma Bell), Jacqui (Jeryl Prescott Sales), Ed Peletier (Adam Minarovich), Sophia Peletier (Madison Lintz), and Otis (Pruitt Taylor Vince).
Then there was season 3, and with it came even more death. Showrunner Glen Mazarra emotionally tortured viewers as he extinguished Andrea (Laurie Holden), Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker), Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne Callies), Theodore "T-Dog" Douglas (IronE Singleton), Axel (Lew Temple), Big Tiny (Theodus Crane), Oscar (Vincent M. Ward), Tomas (Nick Gomez), Milton Mamet (Dallas Roberts), and much of The Governor's enforcers.
Who is next on the chopping block? Best guess, I'd have to look at Tyreese's sister Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), next cast member Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard, Jr.) and old peg leg himself, Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson). Sasha seems like the easy choice as we've seen Tyreese (Chad Coleman) looking incredibly distraught in the season 4 Comic-Con trailer (below), that was released a few weeks ago. Sasha' absence from much of the footage has me leaning in that direction, but producers might be pulling a rope-a-dope. Also, there is a good shot she doesn't meet her maker first. Then there is Bob, a new member of this season's cast, who seems to be causing trouble for the group based on the Comic-Con trailer. But, the little bit of info on his character makes me think he will be safe, as he is supposedly an ex-army medic. That would mean Rick's go-to-doctor, Hershel, is now expendable. Eh, maybe they'll throw us a curveball and it'll be Rick's baby, "Lil Ass-Kicker," (Judith Grimes).
