POLL: Next WALKING DEAD Character To Die? Plus Michonne Vs. The Governor Featurette

No one is safe on AMC's hit zombie television series, The Walking Dead. In season 3, the writers went on a killing spree, knocking off major characters; Lori, T-Dog, Milton and Andrea. Who's next?

If you're a member of the cast, yes you're excited that you're on a very popular television series, but don't expect to keep cashing those paychecks. Over the first couple of seasons of The Walking Dead viewers quickly realized that no matter who you are, man, woman or child, you can't avoid the Grim Reaper. Recurring role or a major character, it just doesn't matter. With the more notable death being: Dale Horvath (Jeffrey DeMunn), Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal), Amy (Emma Bell), Jacqui (Jeryl Prescott Sales), Ed Peletier (Adam Minarovich), Sophia Peletier (Madison Lintz), and Otis (Pruitt Taylor Vince).

Then there was season 3, and with it came even more death. Showrunner Glen Mazarra emotionally tortured viewers as he extinguished Andrea (Laurie Holden), Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker), Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne Callies), Theodore "T-Dog" Douglas (IronE Singleton), Axel (Lew Temple), Big Tiny (Theodus Crane), Oscar (Vincent M. Ward), Tomas (Nick Gomez), Milton Mamet (Dallas Roberts), and much of The Governor's enforcers.

Who is next on the chopping block? Best guess, I'd have to look at Tyreese's sister Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), next cast member Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard, Jr.) and old peg leg himself, Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson). Sasha seems like the easy choice as we've seen Tyreese (Chad Coleman) looking incredibly distraught in the season 4 Comic-Con trailer (below), that was released a few weeks ago. Sasha' absence from much of the footage has me leaning in that direction, but producers might be pulling a rope-a-dope. Also, there is a good shot she doesn't meet her maker first. Then there is Bob, a new member of this season's cast, who seems to be causing trouble for the group based on the Comic-Con trailer. But, the little bit of info on his character makes me think he will be safe, as he is supposedly an ex-army medic. That would mean Rick's go-to-doctor, Hershel, is now expendable. Eh, maybe they'll throw us a curveball and it'll be Rick's baby, "Lil Ass-Kicker," (Judith Grimes).

The Walking Dead stars: Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Scott Wilson, Emily Kinney, Sarah Wayne Callies, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Norman Reedus, IronE Singleton, Danai Gurira, Melissa Suzanne McBride, Michael Rooker, Lauren Cohan, Vincent War, Chad L. Coleman, and David Morrissey.

@nailbiter111

why are you posting on the homepage who died on Season 3? I don't think I'm the only person watching this on Netflix; which hasn't posted Season 3 yet....can you just say there are Spoilers and name the characters only if someone clicks to read article??

MAJOR COMIC BOOK SPOILERS
It's totally possible that the baby can die she did in the comics. Then again it's not likely to happen in TV because its a baby.

It's your fault.

No offense write33, but if you click on an article for a show you're not fully caught up on, that's not the writer's fault at all. Man (or woman) up, and have some self-control next time.

As for who'll die next, I'm sure Sasha will die at some point. The Governor will probably be the earliest death, since they completely butchered his story last season. He goes from a vaguely threatening man to full-out physcho with no in-between at all. Then he anti-climatically cuts the battle on the prison short, slaughters his followers, and rides off into the sunset. Lame.

The writing on this show has gotten worse and worse, to the point where characters aren't consistent anymore and the plot is pretty dumb. Season 4 looks miles better than what we've had to see so far, so let's hope the new showrunner will deliver the goods. Safe to say I'm mostly watching the show for the excellent zombie practical effects though. And Daryl too. They kill Daryl, we riot!

My brother and his wife and my brother-in-law and his wife are all watching the show on now.

They waited for the 3rd season to end up on Netflix....which I think only recently happened. They are scrambling to be caught up before season 4 starts.

So I understand write33's beef.
But I also get that its older now. I havent seen a single episode of Game of Thrones but want to. I cant expect everyone to keep quiet till I see it. I cant get mad if I get a spoiler.

I mean the Mandarin spoilers were all over this site's homepage with article headlines and thats not on DVD yet. Was Zod getting killed spoiled in a headline yet? Probably.....Wheres the outrage over that? :)

From the look of the trailer for season 4, Sasha dies and that is why Tyreese seems pissed and hits Rick and looks to not give a shit anymore

@write33 Why wait on Netflix, try series-cravings or megashare. I have Netflix too but they are too damn slow to get things up most of the time. Best way to avoid spoilers is to watch the next day elsewhere or at least before surfing the 'net again. And DEFINITELY before visiting CBM. Worst place for encountering spoilers, truly.

@nailbiter1

You misunderstood. it's not about the subject matter of your articles; it's about what goes on the homepage of a site. In my view it's a question of etiquette. If somebody clicks the word "Spoiler?" 'then they are fair game to have anything ruined. but to throw up major character deaths on the homepage? that's not the same thing. ...unless I am mistaken, you can control what content in your article appears on the homepage vs. within the body of the article itself.

thanks for getting my back.... no biggie if somebody thinks I'm attacking Nail.......I know that I wasn't, just asking him about where spoilers go, that's all. I think Nail is perfectly cool and look forward to more articles.

@admiralhowdy
thanks for tips on the other sites to try!

Probably Sasha sadly I liked looking at her, but I'm surprised Rick was not on your list... havent read the comics, maybe Rick doesn't die, but it would be interesting in the final season... have someone like Carol or Glenn or even Carl with Judith survive..
