The first season of the TV show, based on Robert Kirkman's comic book series, is heading to the small screen on AMC this October. However, British website Digital Spy have noticed something interesting on the network's site that seems to indicate a second season has already been commissioned before we've even seen the first!

The site is advertising a competition to win "the opportunity to become one of the undead and land a walk-on part in a Season 2 episode." The site also goes on to explain that, "...specifics of the walk-on role will be determined at the producer’s sole discretion". The prize also includes a four-day, three-night trip to the location of The Walking Dead's Season 2 production.
