However, Hurd quickly shot down the rumours that the show has already been approved for another season: "I think we have to air first, and if the response is positive, which we're very hopeful of, then I think we'll be back next year with 13 episodes." "I love internet rumors," added Darabont. "And then I love how surprised and hurt people are when you go, 'No, that's just a rumor,' — like the internet is the fountain of wisdom and truth."
