Before I begin i feel I must stress that this is my first review so bare with me. So yesterday The Walking Dead released an episode that I feel i must elaborate on and give my thoughts. I will begin with the negative then onto the positive then at the end I will do spoilers.
I only have one gripe with this episode. That is that, correct me if i'm wrong but, I thought you had to be bitten to become a zombie. It felt very inconsistent that in the pilot they said that you had to be bitten or scratched and now you can become a zombie by dying by anything. If they only commented on this at all I'd be okay with it but to me it makes the zombies feel like less of a threat. It is easily shaken but it is still there.
Now i will do the pros which there are many. I'll start off with how i liked how they are beginning to make a character of T-Dogg it seemed before that he was only there so they could have a black guy and they wouldn't be accused of racism. Another is they redeemed Carl's character a little sure his voice is still kinda annoying but in the last episode he pissed me off so much when my friend told me someone was going to die in this episode I prayed it was Carl. I also like how they dealed with everybody mourning the death of Dale it seemed as if no one liked him when he was there but they all secretly loved him, now that the only morally right person is gone.
There are a few spoilers in this episode so if you havent seen it do not read on. I will start with the death of Randall, there still is the problem i mentioned before but I did enjopy the teamwork that Daryl and Glenn showed (my two favorite characters) Glenn is becoming more of a bad ass with a hot girlfriend may I add, but this would have been a great place to mention that you only had to die to become a zombie they just acted like they knew it even though it hadn't been formentioned. Last I will talk about the death of Shane, I can't really wrap my head around this decision he added conflict to the show and I don't know how it will be handled after this. There were times when his character pissed me off out of just being bad he always had to disagree with Ricks decision, although when he died I was sad like I was at the end of Titanic so I guess I love his character for that.
In conclusion there were problems with consistency, but overall one of my favorite episodes of the season or the whole series.
Overall Ratinng: 4.5/5
