Following a brief 30-second promo for The Walking Dead's midseason premiere episode, we now have an extended look at all of the intense action and emotional drama the remainder of Season 8 will have to offer.

The trailer picks up shortly after the mid-season finale from December, with Alexandria burning and Carl, well, not looking so hot. Of course, we all know why; but, if you haven't yet seen Episode 8, don't watch this trailer as it will spoil a major plot point. If you're all caught up, then feel free to check out the video below and see what's in store when The Walking Dead returns to AMC later this month.

As you can see, the remainder of Season 8 promises plenty of action and drama, especially as we say goodbye to Carl who looks to deliver quite the tear-jerking farewell speech. But the tears will undoubtedly turn into vengeance as the trailer also highlights the intense showdown between Rick and Negan.

The Walking Dead returns for the second half of Season 8 on February 25, 2018.

@Buckster10 - I liked his character till they made him a humanitarian in the last few eps. Which isn't like him at all. And Morgan already did that character smh.

@DarthMoose - Agreed. The whole "We have to be better" shtick is dumb no matter which character does it. But I loved how Carl was stepping more into the leader role.

I'm worried the first ep of the second half will be all about Carol until he dies at the end, basically stalling the plot.

This show needs to start having some clear direction soon. It needs to know how it's going to end, we can't keep this crap up much longer.
