TV Guide has the scoop on where things pickup in the first new episode of The Walking Dead in February:
If you've read the comics, you can probably guess — especially if you paid attention to the trailer. Rick and Carl will be on their own for a while, with Carl really needing to take a leadership role as his father grieves the potential loss of Judith and the prison. "It's going to hit [Rick] in a way that we haven't seen before," executive producer Scott Gimple says. "If it's just the two of them, [Carl is] going to have to step up quite a bit because circumstances are wildly different and a lot will depend on him in terms of them just surviving. They don't have an awesome, dual-layer fence and brick buildings to hide behind. They're out in the world.
I'm current on the comic book, but my memory is a little fuzzy. What exactly happens with Rick and Carl before the group arrives at [spoiler]? Help me out in the comments section.
The Walking Dead will return in February.
