VIDEO: Why THE WALKING DEAD Is Boring & Predictable

The Walking Dead is a ratings bonanza for AMC, and yet despite this, since Season 2 (and the firing of Frank Darabont) the show plugs along with only the occasional high point. Hit the jump for more...

Boring, predictable, and yet every single network would kill to have their own The Walking Dead and millions of viewers tune in every weekend and always will until the show ends no matter what.

@aflynn - This show is for people who never knew anything about zombies until now that they're cool. back then, liking zombies was some geek shit, people looked at you like you were some freak but now everyone loves them... This show sucks 90% of the time. only like 2 episodes per season are good. Comics > tv show.

I hate watch this show since the 2nd season. I watch it cause I love the special effects and zombie makeups. But I kept watching and watching, now I just hate watch it and laugh and how bad the story is. How bad the acting is. and how much I think Robert Kirkman is a joke and thief. I seen most of this shit in horror movies already. I mean the hospital scene in ep one is a 28 Days later rip off. I find it all overrated. And since i hate watch it I had no problem not giving 2 shits about that money whore of a spin off.

Even the show about the show is relatively highly rated. Sorry, but TWD aren't slowing down.

This video had me rolling because it is so true. Every season is exactly the same except there is a new human villain that the group must come together to overcome.

Last night's episode was a bit slow for me. Was expecting more :/

@SuperCat - Agree... This episode was already summed up in the commercial.

It's easy to rip on Walking Dead for being tediously boring and full of frustratingly idiotic characters making idiotic decisions all the tine (I gave up midway through Season 3), but I guess you have to hand it to them that so many people who actively hate the show continue to stick with it.

Like its obviously got something captivating enough about it that keeps even self-aware haters of the show coming back for more, so that's not nothing, right?

Personally I found it's biggest turn-off to be the fact that after the finale of Season 1 in the science lab they didn't push forward investigating the causes of the virus and a potential cure.

I do like the day-to-day survival aspects (similar to Lost Season 1 in that regard) but I do wish it had thrown a bone once in a while to reveal a bit more mythology and conspiratorial intrigue into the mix

If we cant spread hate on the message boards then why can yo make videos of trolling and then make an article out of it? Also duh the got rid of Frank Darabont, he was the magic that made it the show it started as.

@DUCKBOY - Whilst there is obviously a fine line between legitimate plurality of opinion and trolling, I think the key difference is that its ok to say "The Walking Dead sucks" (as this video does) but not ok to say "If you like the Walking Dead then you suck" (which it's not necessarily trolling but certainly rude)

@528491 - Are people saying that really that huge of a problem? Maybe I just don't notice but the criticism seem to be toward movies and their companies and not users besides the "trolls" themselves. I'm sure it happens occasionally but not enough for this zero tolerance policy.

To keep this post on topic, I stopped watching the show because every character is f**king miserable. In Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad there is a lot of misery but you can also root for characters but there's still a chance for them to have a semi-happy ending. There's no chance in TWD because the world's already over. There's definitely much worse shows out there but that's why I personally don't watch it.

@Luigi - Yeah, I dunno either, these message boards have always seemed remarkably well mannered as far as I can tell.

The only person I've ever seen take any degree of personal abuse is site-admin Josh Wilding whenever he posts a barrel-scraping cynical click-bait article and everyone rightly calls him out on it.
