Winter Comes To THE WALKING DEAD In New Promo Stills For Next Week's Season 9 Finale

There'll be walkers in a winter wonderland!

AMC has released a full batch of promo stills for Sunday's season 9 finale of The Walking Dead, and it looks like "The Storm" of the title is not just a figurative one.

Following the devastating loss of Enid, Tara, Henry and co. in "The Calm Before," Michonne, Daryl, Carol and the others must deal with an oncoming snowstorm while also attempting to avoid Alpha and her ruthless Whisperers. It also looks like Negan is going to be let out of his cell, but whether he's actually given a mission (if you follow the comics, you'll have a pretty good idea what that might be) or nor remains to be seen.

Check out the images below, and let us know what you think is going to happen in the season 9 finale of The Walking Dead in the comments.

Winter has come…finally! Even though the survivors on The Walking Dead moved just outside Washington D.C. way back in season 5, we have yet to ever see snow on the zombie drama. But that will change in a big way on Sunday’s season finale. Check out these finale photos to get your first look at the winter wonderland that awaits.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Me too! I was like King's Landing is screwed!

And that's when I saw Daryl. So this would be their winter villain.

I'm so happy Ezekiel is still alive, I thought for sure they would be keeping his comic book death

I read last night's episode was one of the best in the series history. Apparently, Angela Kang has been an excellent showrunner.

This show tanked so hard in terms of storytelling during Scott Gimple's run that I don't think I'll ever personally come back to it, but it is really great knowing she's worked so hard to turn it around.

Bravo showrunners this season has been a blast, they really made a great turn around in a single season.

Walkers should not be able to function in the frigid weather.
What is left of muscles would freeze and movement would be zero.

It took nine seasons for them to finally make it winter lol

@BoredSorcerer - Lol, true. The only nod we got to winter was the season 3 premier. If they made it through winter with just the clothes on their backs, I'm sure they can do it no problem with an entire community
