Brandon Routh Suits Up As 'The Atom' In Images From Next Week's ARROW

The CW has released 25 promotional images from next week's episode of Arrow ("Nanda Parbat"), and as well as featuring plenty of shots of Ra's al Ghul and a tense confrontations between him and [SPOILER], we also get another look at Brandon Routh's awesome A.T.O.M. suit.

"Nanda Parbat" - Malcolm (John Barrowman) is captured by Ra’s al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) and taken to Nanda Parbat. Because of his love for Thea (Willa Holland), Oliver (Stephen Amell) considers saving Merlyn. Ray (Brandon Routh) is obsessed with finishing his Atom suit so he can save the city but Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) fears he is heading down the same path as Oliver (Stephen Amell) and tries to pull him out of the lab. Gregory Smith directed the episode with story by Wendy Mericle & Ben Sokolowski and teleplay by Erik Olesen & Ben Sokolowski.

The only think i dont like is the helmet, they could just change the glass to red glass to cover his identity but having atom on live action is already good for me

It's good seeing John Diggle meeting Ra's al Ghul. I wonder how he will play into the episode. It's going to be interesting to see how Atom will play into the show.

Really, this suit just makes me hope that soon a new generation of talented artists and costume designers will figure out the formula to makes "super suits" look actually trendy and cool.

This is little more than a chest-piece and some padding over a jumpsuit (with a molded rubber cowl?). Thor's costume is basically the same thing int he movies. Just a semi-symbolic crest on the chest and then mundane clothing everywhere else.

Don't get me wrong, it could be much much worse, and has been. But this is still not quite there yet.

The Ra's actor is okay but he looks unkempt. He should have his hair slicked back & his facial hair better groomed.

I have yet to watch any of season 3 for Arrow b/c I've been so busy... It looks like it's really good but I keep reading comments on here saying that it's a step down compared to the first 2 seasons... Only watched 1st ep of flash too... wondering if I should watch that first instead..

Why is the red color in Atom suit a darker shade?
It's maroon,burgundy,etc.
The Flash is same way & same with MOS suit..WHY ARE THEY AFRAID OF REAL RED COLOR?!

Start with the first season, this season is still great IMO. The problem was Deathstroke was some awesome it will be really hard to match that again!
