Last we saw Colin Donnell briefly reprising his role on Arrow was during this year's crossover event, otherwise known as "Crisis on Earth-X". However, Stephen Amell has teased that Tommy Merlyn will be featured once more on Arrow this season.

Amell had stated, "21 episodes into Season 6 and I still haven't shot a flashback. So this picture... this picture feels really good!" The photo below is the one he shared on social media:

Going by what Amell said, the flashback will likely feature in the season finale, however, he hadn't specified whether the flashback will be in episode 21 or the season finale, episode 22.

With the drug Vertigo being reintroduced into the show this season, some believe that Tommy Merlyn could end up being a Vertigo-inspired hallucination, or perhaps it'll be something similar to what we saw in season 2's "Three Ghosts".

What do you think? How do you think Tommy will return and why?
