The CW has released the first official images from the upcoming fith episode of Batwoman. This instalment promises to take Kate Kane on a journey through her sister's twitsed past.

Here's the synopsis for "Mine Is A Long And Sad Tale":

BECOMING ALICE – Alice (Rachel Skarsten) takes Kate (Ruby Rose) down the sad, winding road of her life in the days after the accident as Jacob (Dougray Scott) and Sophie (Meagan Tandy) attempt to track them. Mary (Nicole Kang) has an argument with Catherine (Elizabeth Anweis) which sends her looking for Kate at Wayne Tower, but instead she becomes unwelcome company for Luke (Camrus Johnson.) Carl Seaton directed the episode written by Jerry Shandy and Ebony Gilbert (#105). Original airdate 11/3/2019.

Based on those details, it sounds like we're finally going to get some answers about how Kate's sister was transformed into the villainous, unhinged Alice. Fans have been curious about that since the big reveal at the end of the pilot episode, and there's a lot of questions the show will have to address.

Only made it through an episode and a half before I quit this show. This seriously felt like one of those really cheesy superhero shows from the mid-2000s.

These legacy castings have also gotten out of hand. They're bringing actors from Birds of Prey into this show? Really?! That show isn't exactly known for its brilliant acting. At this point, these castings aren't a "tribute," they're an excuse for laziness.

This show can take its rightful place next to Catwoman (2004), Birds of Prey (2003), Elektra, and the Justin Hartley Aquaman pilot.

Off to a decent start, at the very least better than Supergirl Season 1, so it has plenty of time to improve, seriously supergirl season 4 was one of the arroverse's strongest seasons. Batwoman has plenty of good stories to draw from. Hope Alice sticks around long term, feel like she can become the show's Spike

the wild card, willing to help the good guys if it helps her and maybe eventually redeem herself

@Arrow96 - Because of Buffy, im guessing you think I am older than I am, early 20s, so yes a grown man. What can I say, im a DC fan, and I believe in giving shows a fare shot, not just 1 or 2 episodes. Like I said Supergirl got better. If Batwoman doesn't improve, I will probably drop it after the first season. Couldn't care less about a shows agenda or who the intended demographic is, as long as its good. Admittedly I do give some shows more of a chance than others.

I suppose Alice finds a way to kidnap Kate in the previous episode or she finds a way to coerce her to meet up with her and to let her know how she came to be like this because she knows her sister still has not given up on her like Jacob seemed to do, which is at least her endgame for S1: maker her join her to rule Gotham. That is going to be Kate's Achilles heel, how to not let herself be always so vulnerable against Alice.

Mary will definitely find here through Luke that Kate is Batwoman, which will only leave out her step dad and Catherine on the dark about their eldest child.

The plot will definitely thicken more after this one. 🤔

Inclusion! Inclusion everywhere! You’re an intolerant bigot if you don’t like this show. Clearly. The CW crap is for massive nerds. Real nerds don’t even like it. End it all.
