The newest entry to The CW DCTV line-up,
Black Lightning, has finally received a premiere date. The show will debut Tuesday January 16th, airing right after a new episode of
The Flash. And yes, you saw that correctly -
Black Lightning is taking over the
DC's Legends of Tomorrow time slot.
So what will be happen to our favorite group of time-traveling heroes, you ask? Well, no specific date and time has been set in stone yet, but we do know that
Legends will be back at a new night and time in February.
Black Lightning follows Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams), a retired superhero with electricity powers, father of two, and principal of a charter high school. Nine years after hanging up his costume, Jefferson suits back up after his daughters Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Jennifer (China Anne McClain) and his community are threatened by Tobias Whale’s (Marvin “Krondon” Jones III) 100 Gang. Salim and Mara Brock Akil will serve as the shows executive producers.
