With Doom Patrol set to return on Thursday, the DC Universe and HBO Max have released a ton of photos from the first three episodes of season two. The first of the three hours will pick up a short while after the events of last season's finale with the entire team, save for Negative Man (Matt Bomer), still miniaturized.

However, while the team seeks out a way to get back to normal, they also have to deal with the fallout from releasing Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro) as they get acquainted with her many "imaginary" friends.

In the season premiere, Niles, Jane, Cliff, Rita, Vic and Dorothy are still trapped in miniature-size, weeks after the events of last season. Camped out in Cliff’s miniature race-track set up, Dorothy tries to befriend both Cliff and Jane, while Larry does his best to figure out a way to restore everyone to their normal size once again. Meanwhile, Rita asks Vic for help in using her elastic abilities for good, while Jane hides out in the Underground and Niles tries everything to earn forgiveness for his past deeds. In the end though, Niles will have to sacrifice something very precious, by making a bargain with Willoughby Kipling (recurring guest star MARK SHEPPARD) in order to help the team and keep his daughter safe – and the world safe from her imaginary friends.

Christopher Manley directed the episode which was written by Jeremy Carver and Shoshana Sachi. Guest stars in the episode include Mark Sheppard as Willoughby Kipling, Abigail Shapiro as Dorothy Spinner, Julie McNiven as Sheryl Trainor, Michael J. Harney as RJ Steele, Stephanie Czajkowski as Hammerhead, and Mark Ashworth as Rupert.

DC’s strangest group of heroes — Cliff Steele aka Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Larry Trainor aka Negative Man (Matt Bomer), Rita Farr aka Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Jane aka Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Victor Stone aka Cyborg (Joivan Wade) — are back again to save the world. That is, if they can find a way to grow up…both figuratively and literally. Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody, the members of the Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. Here they begin to deal with their feelings of betrayal by Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton), while confronting their own personal baggage. And as each member faces the challenge of growing beyond their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to embrace and protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro), Niles’ daughter, whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.

Doom Patrol features:

April Bowlby as Rita Farr/Elasti-Woman

Watched the first three episodes already, this show is still so good. Matt Bomer really shines.

Dorothy looks like a cross between the monkey kid from Jumanji and the things from The Brood.

Some people dont like the Cyborg look. personally think its okay, its a lot better than the movie. although even on a tv budget, the head piece could be better

@dracula - Headpiece looks like a bad terminator/robocop mask.

The face plate in JL was the only thing they did right.

@Nightmare - its kind of funny. All these comparisons of tv and movie cyborg just reminds me we're never gonna get him in a teen titans team even though a titans show exists.
