Last we heard, Syfy was taking their planned Superman prequel series Krypton to Serbia to film the pilot episode, which would star relative newcomers Cameron Cuffe and Georgina Campbell in the lead roles as Seg-El and Lyta Zod, respectively.
While the series hasn't officially been ordered by the network just yet, it appears as though the trailer for that recently completed pilot has been released online and it gives us our first real look at the upcoming series, which introduces Kal-El's grandfather and reveals his struggle to redeem his family's honor while also saving his beloved world from unprecedented chaos. The planet also seems to draw visual inspiration from the Krypton seen in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, which probably shouldn't come as a huge surprise as David S. Goyer penned both scripts.
Colm McCarthy (Sherlock) helmed the pilot episode with a script from Goyer and Ian Goldberg.
