This latest trailer for SyFy's Krypton features some exciting new action shots, as well as our first look at Adam Stramge (Shaun Sipos). The character is not shown in costume here, but there's always a chance he'll suit-up at some point as the series progresses.

This small-screen take on the DC hero is described as, "a world-weary human, who finds himself stranded on Krypton as the unlikely mentor to Seg-El, Superman’s grandfather." From the sounds of that, Krypton is going to replace Rann as the planet that Strange is teleported to via Zeta Beam in the comics.

Check out the teaser below and let us know what you think. Krypton is set ti premiere on March 21.

So Adam Strange mentors Superman's grandfather and this will somehow have affects on Superman....

Idk. Sounds weird. What happened to Superman's circumstances being purely of chance and a little luck? His parents sent him to Earth hoping everything would turn out okay. No plan other than to [granted he survives] have him protect humanity because it was the right thing to do. He would do what Jor-El couldn't and save his homeworld.

I'm hoping this doesn't lead to some weird shit where Strange comes from a time where Superman exists and he somehow molds the House of El into a family that would raise a heroic savior.

@BlackBeltJones -

I think it still bears out. It's just that some villains have decided that punching Superman doesn't work anymore. So, what if they took out his grandfather instead?
That's what Adam Strange and fellow JLer Hawkwoman are trying to prevent.

@Battabing - I like the idea of his ancestors being taken out. It's an interesting concept that makes sense.

How do you stop a demigod when punching doesn't work any more? Stop him from being born. I just don't want Strange shaping his family or even telling them the eventual fate of their world. No to Strange molding the history of the House of El.

@BlackBeltJones - Perhaps Strange is speaking vaguely. After all, he does say "greatest hero of the universe". He doesn't say that Krypton will be destroyed ultimately, or that Superman is from Earth, because those are time paradox-related information.

@BlackBeltJones - Though...., wouldn’t it be cool, if where..., OR WHEN Adam hails from, has given birth to an omnipotent evil Kal-el who followed the WRONG path to become the greatest threat to the universe, and seeing hopelessness in straight out defeating him, ADAM, goes back to manipulate events to lead to a more heroic leading path for who he infamously knows, to become a symbol for good?

The cgi isn’t bad at all, acting is pretty good, and most importantly it has grabbed my interest.

Looks like it could be good but the voiceover sounds a bit forced and bland...... listen to it again if you can, it sounds like a bad acting to me! A little harsh I know as it is only a voiceover but all the same it cold sound a bit more dynamic!

@Wobblybob - I have to agree. The concept and production value looks pretty good, but the lead looks bland as hell, both in acting and characterization. I'll give it a shot, but speaking from my gut, I think it's going to come off a little meh to me.

Adam Strange isnt a time traveller. Im interested to see how this plays out. Why not make him Rip Hinter, or Booster Gold? (a much better Rip than DCLOT preferably)

@Battabing - Agreed on the Inhumans part.

I'm still not too sold on this show, and Goyer is more hit than miss, but it's worth a watch. Visuals look really good.
