SERIES PREMIERE — In the year 2166, the immortal villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) is on the verge of his final victory – total chaos and the utter destruction of humanity. As the world crumbles, the Time Master Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) takes matters into his own hands; he travels 150 years into the past to assemble a carefully selected team of heroes and rogues to stop him. Hunter has chosen what seems like an ill-matched group: billionaire inventor Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as the Atom; Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), the White Canary, a trained assassin; Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (Franz Drameh), who together form the meta-human Firestorm; Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller), known as Captain Cold, and his partner Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell), AKA Heat Wave, a pair of career criminals; and Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renée) and Carter Hall (Falk Hentschel) AKA Hawkgirl and Hawkman. Together this unlikely group will attempt to stop one of the most formidable villains of all time, while they must learn how to not only be a team, but heroes as well. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Phil Klemmer and Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg (#101).

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom

Ciara Renée as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl
Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson

He's a TERRIBLE actor. Don't get me wrong. I like the character, but he's not this bland in the comics. Wentworth Miller's fault or the writers.

I like his cheesiness Flash, its clearly deliberate. He's a good foil for Barry.

I think it's Wentworth. He's reeeally hammy in everything he's in. Check out Prison Break on Netflix. Amazing show, but his acting isn't much different from this.

Im not into Captain Cold or Heatwave... Its one thing to make them Villains on the Flash but another to make them main characters on Legends... I guess enough fans liked them to get them on the show.

I think he is great.........I love what they have done with the character. I mean to be honest all the ice villains in the DC universe are corny as hell except for Mr. Freeze.

@OneBadDay I loved Prison Break, but you're right. He's a hammy actor. Goes over the top, but in a reserved and calm way. I like Prison Break due to the secondary characters and overall mystery. Never liked Miller and Purcell that much. The other prisoners were pure gold.

Love Wentworth Miller as Cold! The sense of superiority that he exudes and sheer "I don't give a f*ck" attitude are just awesome, as it just hides that sense of honor he has, so seeing that come out is always fun as well, as it's with his and Mick's sense of mischief.

What! Prison Break was one of the biggest pieces of shit on TV.
The problem here is actually both the writing AND Wentworth.

Actually don't mind Captain Cold as much as I dislike Heatwaves goofy character. Cant take him seriously as he seems like he came out of a Power Rangers acting School.

I love the character and Miller´s influx aswell.
Forever Evil was the series that put this character on my favorite list.
I love the redemption Arc that they are setting up for him, he is a layered character, the kind i love.

This adding a couple of rouges to the hero line-up is a smart idea. it's like injecting a little Suicide Squad into the show.

Let me get this straight...

The Trickster – Mark Hammil plays it hammy, but you love it.
The Joker – Everyone before Ledger played it hammy, but you love it.
The Riddler – The actors play him hammy in the games, but you love it.
The Green Goblin – Willem Dafoe plays him hammy, but you love it.
Deadpool – Ryan Reynolds plays him hammy as frak, but you love it.

Captain Cold – Wentworth Miller plays it hammy, but you hate it because he plays it hammy.

WTF????

When did Captain Cold become a deadly serious intellectual in your minds?
