LEGENDS OF TOMORROW 100th Episode Set To Bring Back Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Franz Drameh & Four More

We knew Wentworth Miller would be returning for the 100th episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow and it looks like he won't be alone as The CW has revealed a number of very special guest stars.

All aboard the Waverider!

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed today that former series regulars Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/the Atom), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein/Firestorm), Franz Drameh (Jax/Firestorm), Courtney Ford (Nora Darhk), Falk Hentschel (Hawkman), and Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter) will all be returning to DC's Legends of Tomorrow for the upcoming 100th episode.

They join the previously announced Wentworth Miller, who is also set to reprise his fan-favorite role as Leonard Snart, a.k.a. Captain Cold.

Conspicuous by his absence, however, is the show's second-longest tenured member, Dominic Purcell, who played Mick Rory, a.k.a. Heatwave, for six seasons before departing the show as a full-time regular in last season's finale. Whether he shows up or not remains to be seen, especially considering the explosive nature of his exit, but it's hard to imagine the show won't honor him in some way if he did end up missing the festivities.

Caity Lotz is directing the hour, which is set to air on October 27. However, in a unique twist, this one will be told entirely from the viewpoint of Gideon (Amy Louise Pemberton).

The official synopsis for the episode, titled "wvrdr_error_100 not found," reads,

"LEGENDS OF PAST AND PRESENT IN THE 100th EPISODE - With Astra (Olivia Swann), Spooner (Lisseth Chavez) and a now-human Gideon (Amy Pemberton) trying to save the Legends, Gideon becomes overwhelmed by her new human choices sending her into a catatonic state. Astra and Spooner combine their powers to enter Gideon's mindscape and discover that a virus is trying to erase all of Gideon's memories. Acting fast, they devise a plan to defeat the virus before it's too late. Meanwhile, the Legends are about to go up against a powerful new foe. Caity Lotz, Jes Macallan, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Shayan Sobhian, and Adam Tsekham also star. Caity Lotz directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Matthew Maala (#703). Original airdate 10/27/2021."

"The Bullet Blondes" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

COMFORT ZONE - After defeating the aliens and saving Earth, the Legends find themselves stranded in 1925 Odessa, Texas with a destroyed Waverider. Wanting to help fix things, Astra (Olivia Swann) tries using her powers, which creates unwanted attention from the town and that of the new Director of the Bureau of Investigation, J. Edgar Hoover, and a surprise no one expected. Realizing they need to escape, Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ava (Jes Macallan) create a distraction by going on a crime spree with Hoover hot on their tails. Meanwhile, Zari (Tala Ashe) is finding it hard to get over Constantine, so Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) suggests the only thing he knows that can help. Nick Zano, Adam Tsekham, Lisseth Chavez and Amy Pemberton also star. Kevin Mock directed the episode written by James Eagan & Ray Utarnachitt (#701). Original airdate 10/13/2021.

Little disappointed that (apparently) there won't be a Fire & Ice reunion between Mick and Snart, but I'm still psyched for all the returning actors.

I mean, seriously? How? How can you not have a conversation between Rory and Snart about his going from dumb muscle to best selling sci-fi romance novelist father of hybrid squid babies?

Weird to have hawkman but not hawkgirl.

Hawkman was killed in the second episode and they only brought in one of his reincarnations in the final few episodes of the season

This hollow shell of a show doesnt excite me anymore, sadly. But, I will say, it is nice to see that Rip and some of the others are returning. Show lost that spark that made it special and high quality after Rip left.

@HeavyMetal4Life - I personally dropped out when they just ditched the superhero aspect. Look at the current roster. Nate and Sarah rarely suit up. The concept is fine as a show but I really liked the idea of legit superheroes(and villains) suiting up to fight a threat across time.

In the picture, this thing should be incredibly colorful. Instead it's just "ordinary looking" people standing around.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Same. I barely watch the first few episodes of this season and havent really bothered to catch up. This cast reunion really reminds me of why I loved the show in the beginning but its just a little too far gone from what it used to be.

I get that the original concept was to always swap characters out but those characters were really the heart of the show. Routh especially.
