The CW has revealed that Johnathon Schaech (Ray Donovan) will play Jonah Hex in DC's Legends of Tomorrow. The character - who was previously portrayed by Josh Brolin on the big screen - will first show up in episode eleven, though The Hollywood Reporter mentions that he may then becoming a recurring presence in the spinoff. The official character description reveals that this take on the character is, "A true legend of the Old West, a morally ambiguous gunslinger with a penchant for danger. Surprisingly, he knows a thing or two about time travel and the future, but is at home in the Wild West. He’s been battling outlaws and gangs for awhile now, and advises the team to be extra careful when they arrive in the small town of Salvation."

Schaech's other credits include That Thing You Do, Quantico, and Texas Rising. What do you guys think of this latest DC TV casting addition? Is he a good fit to bring Jonah Hex to life on the small screen? Sound off below...

Anyone remember him in the Tom Hank's directed "That Thing You Do"? About the fictional band that forms in the late 60's.

Time travel, so it makes sense...

Still only going to give it a chance for the sake of Lotz and Routh.

@embajador

It came to light that they're manager, Tom Hanks, was inappropriately touching some of the band members. The ones who weren't touched, we're overcome by heroin addiction.

@embajador

The sequel, "That Thing He Did", really focuses on what a monster Tom Hank's character was.
