LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: Citizen Cold Joins The Team In New Photos For Season 3, Episode 9: "Beebo The God Of War"

Last night's "Crisis on Earth-X" finale revealed that at least one person from the Nazi-infested Earth would be sticking around Earth-1 and now, we have our first look at him back with his old teammates!

The Legends lost one of their founding members last night when Professor Stein (Victor Garber) sacrificed himself by taking the cure to save his surrogate son Jax from a similar fate. Now, while it'll be impossible to replace his presence on the team, it looks like the team will at least be getting some backup for the next few episodes with the return addition of Leonard "Leo" Snart, a.k.a. Citizen Cold (Wentworth Miller).

It's unclear how many episodes this Earth-X Snart will be sticking around for, but with Miller recently announcing his departure from the Berlantiverse, it may actually not be very long at all. Next week's fall finale will also see the squad heading to Nordic times to battle Vikings and Damien Darhk.

"Beebo the God of War" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

FOLLOW YOUR HEART - Rattled by recent events, the Legends dive into work which finds them investigating an Anachronism in a Viking settlement in the New World. The Legends realize that the Norsemen are worshipping an artifact as their god and are surprised by the artifact's origin. For the first time, Sara (Caity Lotz) is worried that they might need back up when Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) shows up. Meanwhile, Jax (Franz Drameh) finds a loophole that could potentially change history, but it is a risk he is willing to take. Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Maisie Richadson-Sellers and Dominic Purcell also star. Kevin Mock directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & James Eagan (#309). Original airdate 12/05/2017.

After defeating the Legion of Doom, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow face a new existential threat created by their actions at the end of last season. By revisiting a moment in time they’d already participated in, they’ve essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question and disband the team. Challenging the Time Bureau’s authority, they recruit a hacker from the future, Zari Tomaz and continue their time travelling shenanigans, while insisting that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom
Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein/Firestorm
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary
Franz Drameh as Jefferson "Jax" Jackson/Firestorm
Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave
Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen
Nick Zano as Dr. Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel
Amy Pemberton as Gideon
Tala Ashe as Zari Adrianna Tomaz
Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter
Tracy Ifeachor as Kuasa
Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold
Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk
Courtney Ford as Eleanor Darhk

Legends Of Tomorrow returns with an all-new episode December 5

Nice to have Snart back, along with Roy and soon Stein, he is one of the few characters that left the Arrowverse and I actually miss their presence.

Too bad his reason for actually staying didn’t really make any sense and came out of nowhere, especially as he told Ray he should go to Earth 1 to see his family

@Armageddon26 - I mean while I agree it makes more sense for Ray to stay, but he is one of the few superheroes on Earth X and making sure that his world can be re-stabilized after the death of the fuehrer is his number one priority.

Meanwhile, Leo's way of helping is on a more personal level than action. His main motive for staying is using his familiarity to the Legends (particularly Heatwave) as a kind face during their period of mourning.

@KelvTwelve - I get both of your points, I’m just saying that the whole whole arc for both of them set up Ray staying on Earth 1 and Snart going back, then they randomly switched it up with no foreshadowing or real reason

Didn’t he say he was done playing Snart?

@WruceBayne - Yes but I think everyone just automatically assumed his last episode would be the crossover

I don't think the Legends really need a softer version of Snart.Instead what they actually need is The Ray to stay in Earth 1 and replace Firestorm.

@VincentValjean - Agree. In a four part crossover we got two gay encounters. By two different couple. Sara's sexuality has been well documented and Snarts is out of nowhere. For Snart, it doesn't add to the character at all. His personality doesn't make sense either, why does Mick need a happy, gay Snart? This crossover sucked, every 5 minutes people had to profess their love for one another, even the dopple couple. Just too much.
