The Legends paid a brief visit to South Dakota, 70 million years ago, in the second season premiere when Mick & Nate travelled back in time to rescue Ray from the jaws of a T-Rex and it looks like the whole team will be heading back to the land of the prehistoric in just one week's time.

The CW has released photos from the next installment, spotlighting Sara, Jax, Stein, & Mick as they attempt a very crazy plan to enter the subconscious of Rip Hunter, with the hopes of bringing back his more cheerful side. Elsewhere, we also get to see Ray back in his natural element in the jungles of the Cretaceous period, seeking a missing ship component, and Amaya & Nate getting a little closer. Check out the stills below:

"Land of the Lost" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

A DIVIDED MIND - After capturing Rip (Arthur Darvill), he forces the Waverider to crash, leaving the Legends stuck seventy million years in the past. Ray (Brandon Routh) leads Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Nate (Nick Zano) to recover a vital piece of the ship. In an effort to get the "good" Rip back, Rory (Dominic Purcell) suggests they enter Rip's mind, but what Sara (Caity Lotz) and Jax (Franz Drameh) discover in his subconscious is not pleasant and they must fight evil versions of themselves. Meanwhile, Nate and Amaya continue to get closer, but it could cause serious ramifications. Victor Garber also stars. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Keto Shimizu & Ray Utarnaachitt (#213). Original airdate 3/7/2017.

After the defeat of the immortal villain Vandal Savage and the corrupt Time Masters who colluded with him, a new threat emerges. Dr. Nate Heywood, an unconventional and charming historian, is thrust into the action upon making a shocking discovery – the Legends are scattered throughout time.

Nate must find a way to rescue season one’s beloved team of heroes and rogues, including billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as the Atom; Sara Lance, the White Canary, a trained assassin; Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm; and Mick Rory, aka Heat Wave, a career criminal. When the Legends encounter the J.S.A in the 1940s, Amaya Jiwe, aka Vixen, joins the team. While the team reunites, a mystery looms – the fate of former captain Rip Hunter.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom

If there's gonna feature a dinosaur or even a T-Rex it is the perfect chance to make Ray g go giant again and duke it out with it.

I'm really loving the evil Rip Hunter. Hope he stays like this for awhile.

@TheLight - He's actually the best villain this show has had, next to the Reverse Flash. They should've used him instead of the poorly, POORLY written Vandal Savage arc. This arc is poorly written, too.

I want them to stay in one time period for more than one episode. Have them there for at least a good chunk, maybe 4 episodes or so. I like the format of the show, but it's always good to mix things up, something The Flash desperately needs.
