LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Sets Up A Demonic Season 4 With John Constantine; Plus Details On That Big Exit
After one of the most bats**t crazy finales the CW has ever aired, next year promises to be even wilder as Constantine has arrived with an even bigger threat. Plus, get details on that big exit...
John Constantine is officially a Legend.
Following a wild finale that saw the Legends unite their six totems to become the all-powerful Beebo (yes, really) and defeat the evil Mallus (John Noble), the final moments saw John Constantine (Matt Ryan) and Gary (Adam Tsekhman) pay the gang a visit while they were relaxing in Aruba. While his appearance was fairly brief, he did manage to set up a pretty demonic season four as he revealed to everyone that not only did Sara's (Caity Lotz) unorthodox plan let out Mallus, but it also let out something much worse - or, well, a lot of things much worse.
Prior to John's arrival, we saw Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) bid farewell to Nate (Nick Zano) after she decided to return home to Zambesi to fulfill her destiny and while we've seen plenty of exits this season, we can now safely assure you that this isn't the last we've seen of Vixen. Following the episode, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Richardson-Sellers will be back next season as a series regular, which is certainly welcome news, but whether or not she's still playing Amaya is yet-to-be-seen.
As for Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), their exits are likely to be a little more permanent, especially considering that both characters sacrificed themselves for the greater good with Rip taking a time bomb for his team while Darhk swapped places with Nora (Courtney Ford) to save her from obliteration. However, since this is Legends, that doesn't necessarily mean they can't pop up at some point or another next year.
So, what did you guys think of the finale? Sound off with your thoughts below!
After defeating the Legion of Doom, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow face a new existential threat created by their actions at the end of last season. By revisiting a moment in time they’d already participated in, they’ve essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question and disband the team. Challenging the Time Bureau’s authority, they recruit a hacker from the future, Zari Tomaz and continue their time travelling shenanigans, while insisting that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.
