DC TV premiere week continues as the Legends of Tomorrow made their long-awaited return and even though their initial plan to stop Caesar didn't exactly pan out, they still managed to save the day by hour's end, which means they get to keep the Waverider for future adventures.

Next week, the gang heads to 1870 where they stumble across P.T. Barnum's circus, which is interesting in itself, but when Nate & Ray accidentally free a sabre-toothed tiger, things quickly spiral downhill. Then, after the pair get themselves captured, it's up to the rest of the team to free them before it's too late.

Check out the new promo for episode two, titled "Freakshow," below:

"Freakshow" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

IT'S ALWAYS A CIRCUS - The Legends find themselves in 1870 to fix the anachronism which happens to be at P.T. Barnum's fledgling circus. However, Nate (Nick Zano) and Ray (Brandon Routh) accidently free a saber toothed tiger, creating a bigger problem. Meanwhile, P.T. Barnum (guest star Billy Zane) is on the hunt to capture Nate and Ray to make his show even more exciting for the crowd. Caity Lotz, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Victor Garber, Dominic Purcell and Franz Drameh also star. Keith Tancharoen directed the episode written by Keto Shimizu & Grainne Godfree (#302). Original airdate 10/17/2017.

After defeating the Legion of Doom, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow face a new existential threat created by their actions at the end of last season. By revisiting a moment in time they’d already participated in, they’ve essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question and disband the team. Challenging the Time Bureau’s authority, they recruit a hacker from the future, Zari Tomaz and continue their time travelling shenanigans, while insisting that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom
Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein/Firestorm
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary
Franz Drameh as Jefferson "Jax" Jackson/Firestorm
Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave
Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen
Nick Zano as Dr. Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel
Amy Pemberton as Gideon
Tala Ashe as Zari Adrianna Tomaz
Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter
Tracy Ifeachor as Kuasa
Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold
Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk
Courtney Ford as Eleanor Darhk

Legends Of Tomorrow returns with an all-new episode October 17

Did anyone catch the name of the big bad that's coming? I think it was something that started with an "M".

Really fun episode. It was a blast. I thought Rip's 180 from the end of last season was pretty funny.

Huh...Okay?...I don't exactly like where they left off....Most of the characters after they were out of a job. They were...pretty uncharacteristically off
